Germany’s four-day work week proves to be a massive hit

Yes, I feel like this happens when these articles pop up from time to time. Like, it's a good thing a few companies are trying it out successfully, you don't have to falsely make it sound like the whole country switched

He did speak out against Audible though, but mentioned he was afraid of making him an enemy of Amazon.

Should get a discount or something
You people don't have self scanning? Pick a barcode scanner at the entrance, scan everything when you put it in your bags in the cart, and just pay at the exit and walk out (unless you get a semi-rare random check). One of the favorite features of the store I use is that I fill the shopping list at home in the app (that can be shared with other accounts) and then I see the list in my phone or the store scanner, sorted by the order of sections in the store, so eg. all fruit and vegetables will be next on the list when I get to that section. I also like that you see your total in real time and the scanner reminds you if there's a "3 for 2" or other offers.

I also left for good after 'API-gate', after more than ten years.. It actually hurt to see how something that had been such a big part of my life for so long got worse and worse, like a family member becoming radicalized or something.

Assault on the control center
Reminds me of stuff I used to draw for fun as a kid, and not in a bad way at all, it's just fun to look at and discover the details!

I think many of them are since chatgpt introduced the "Studio Ghibli" style earlier this year. They are usually these wierd mixes between anime and western cartoon styles, with a warm color tone for some reason

After waiting several weeks for my appointment my "regular ass doctor" told me I couldn't have adhd because I could look him in the eyes and hold a conversation. So, thanks, I'm cured?

Remember: the SUX 3141 Ti is 60% slower than the SUX 3141 Xt. because it's 5 years older and has no components in common.

For many games you can set graphics rendering to for example 1080p but run the whole game in 4k so text, menues and so on are super crisp but the game still runs very light. But maybe it's good advice to never even start because I can't imagine going back to 1080p after using 2k and 4k screens

YouTube Premium is getting a big price hike internationally
Reply in thread
It's more than 50%. In Sweden it goes from 179 SEK to 279 SEK for family - that's almost 56% which is an insane price hike. But hey I'm glad it helps YouTube "improve the service". I would be out if I didn't want my family to be able to watch without ads on several non Android devices and a smart TV..

On this day, 30 years ago, 14 year old John Hron was murdered by neo-nazis near Kungälv
I listened to the Swedish radio documentary (P3) many years ago and I've never forgotten it. Can't get over how he maybe could have survived but went back to save the life of his friend, he probably understood he sacrificed himself.

The importance of a dedicated setup
I think it took 6 months before I made a more permanent setup and didn't just keep everything on a tray I put on my desk. A year after that maybe I removed the computer screen from the desk to fit racks for 100+ paint bottles.. A while after that I upgraded the shelves to be able to display more minis and Warhammer books. I think it's important to let the spaces you use evolve with how you use them. I use the desk for other things but to have it as a painting station primarily makes me paint more

What random good thing happened to you this year?
I found a gold ring in a vent behind the rear mirror in my car.
It's been really cold and I had heated the car before driving. As I was making a sharp turn some water dripped from behind the rear mirror. I guess it was condensation that had frozen and then heated? I stopped the car and used my phone flashlight to see where the water came from. Then I saw a flash of gold from something behind a vent that could be removed behind the rear mirror, where there's wires for the radar and stuff. It was an 18k gold ring, engraved from the early sixties. I've had the car for a year and the former owner was a company with many people using the car. I guess someone his the ring and then forgot about it?

The Steam Point shop has a collection of new Deck startup movies, including ones themed for Elden Ring, Hades, Persona 5, and Vampire Survivors.
Cool, I'll probably get Hades! I guess I'm not alone having more points than I can spend after buying the Steam Deck

Pihole hasn't made any difference on devices like smart TVs and consoles for years, at least in my experience. It really sucks but they broke me and I bought premium family because we use YouTube a lot on non pc devices and I hate ads so much

Had it once too. It was a long time ago but definitely one of the best cups I've had. Can probably be described to taste as regular coffee smells, with very little bitterness. Since then I've learned many producers have the animals in cages and don't treat them well, and there are no good ways to source ethically made Kopi Luwak, so I never really felt the need to buy it again.
