Hair

I've not found a technique I like for really curly hair. Wavy to mildly curly I feel good about. Do you have a technique you like you would suggest I consider?

For the record this is the best I've done and I'm happier with it than any other attempt. But it's not a good as what's in my mind or the reference.

The reference for reference:

I tried doing my coathanger cursive artwork, but in plain underlined print this time..

Context: https://lemmy.world/post/47145754

Sadly, due to distractions, the coathanger broke mid bend on the last letter of my name 鈽癸笍

This is my first time even attempting to do plain simple print, while all underlined to keep the letters connected. It's way more comlicated than cursive writing, as there are a lot more sharp bends, making measuring and planning all that much more time consuming and difficult.

This print style coathanger text practice is a first for me, unfortunately failed just before the finish line...

The last lowercase 'n' was also intended to be finished, complete with the underline, but that's where it broke.

Go ahead, kick me in the ass, next time I try, I'll do so alone, no distractions, while also learning from my first try..

Curious, what you folks think?

Gecko feeding on mushrooms, JRC, Procreate, 2026

I like making art by putting random things together. I asked a word generator (not an AI) to give me a random animal and a random object and this is what it gave me. I decided to connect them with wires. I created a parallel line brush specifically for making things like ropes and wires. All brushes used are custom made by me. The border is made from a mechanical texture of parts that is repeating. I just extracted the texture and used it as the grain to get the effect. The last step was gradient mapping to enhance the colors and adjusting curves. I love playing with these features of procreate. Any ideas on what I shouldake next? I have a few more ideas brewing.
