I keep thinking about the my aye-dunno world/story and so am starting a second part to add on to it, but also want to go back and redo all the pictures to a new style - maybe this one. I did the first part when trying out digital stuff and just wanted something quick to draw. This style I find more pleasant but I fumble on clarity of composition when I try to do it as fast as I did the more simplistic thing as below.

If unclear the main image is a christmas beetle using a ghostgum club to attempt to clobber an octopus hiding in the eucalyptus flowers. not sure how easily it reads as that, I could probably have posed the beetle better (still trying to not sacrifice too much time)

I used the rounded corner method from neurographic art techniques on this beetle. Made in Krita with the SK2 2B pencil brush and the TombOfNull 9RL Stipple brush.

I have started making these a year ago for my family's breakfast. EAT YOUR FRUITS

These both have the property of every mark being a unique hue - some shades are similar especially in the scanner - though I didn't use all the colors this time.

I felt hesitant about following my intuition regarding this composition. It's been a rough past twenty‐four hours again, though things got calmer and I'm happy to have a chance to draw.

I love making creatures but occasionally I go back to the inspiration itself--animals. Just a sketch. No final product. All is for practice.

The lowercase t is one of the most difficult to bend, and uppercase S isn't exactly easy either, so I spent about a week with that as a backburner project in mind, like how to simplify both first letters at once.

This is my final result, and it threw my mind for a few loops because I'm not at all used to starting with the second letter, only to loop back to the first letter...
