Perfect Rating ⭐/5
Still weird to me that 3/5 is accepted as bad. It's middle of the score; it's average. I have plenty of 3 star movies I watched and I like it just fine.
But yes mostly nowadays I just watch with the right cat's eyes lol

Android May Soon Restrict On-Device ADB, Affecting Shizuku, libadb and Developers
If android is truly getting locked down, I'll just get the cheapest smartphone I can get because everything here in my country needs their own smartphone app for their own 2FA and they all want Play Integrity. It's getting really annoying to bypass all these asinine roadblocks on my fucking phone.
Banks and online shopping apps can get bent policing my phone.
And I'll just carry a small Linux laptop to do all my other internet and computing needs. Shit's fucked up. And carry a Faraday bag just for the phone.

It’s Looking Like the Cybertruck Is the Biggest Flop in Automotive History

When the cybertruck was first announced, I actually appreciated how different it looked
Yeah, same here. I usually like weird looking forms for ordinary objects. The cybertruck counts.
Even disregarding the emotional association to Musk, which is nigh impossible, the engineering of the car makes it suck to hell, because that's all Musk's decision he forced.

Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder. I've read that somewhere about the Steam controller. I'm not in a rush to buy a new controller, as mine is still working and the availability still sucks here.

clicking through that link, it obviously blocks my zen browser, and recommends google's chrome, chromium, ms edge and opera.
this seems like a massive L still. hopefully it's not hard-coded to require those 4 only, and a stripped down chromium browser can be used. I don't have a race in this horse yet, becauseI did consider 8bitdo controllers once my gamesir controller dies. maybe I'll just have to save up for a steam controller, even though Valve still doesn't ship to my country, and I refuse to buy from scalpers. even legit businesses here are scalping hard... fucking scalpers.
my first draft comment to you was a bit hopeful that maybe stripped down chromium browsers can replace your singular use windows VM. I apologize for assuming

catbox.moe works too. Although files uploaded anonymously that have not had a download/hit in over 2 years will be removed from Catbox.. which is weird that was not the default since the beginning considering they're not like other image hosting sites size and funding.

Tape trapped on its paw led a hedgehog in Dagestan to seek help from a passerby.
Cute.
I assume the hedgehog have been around people in the area enough to "domesticate" itself, since, another assumption, the humans around it are decent people that cares for random creatures.

AI Companies Are Buying Tons of Old Books Because They're Free of AI Slop

I imagine authors will go to great lengths to prove their works to be authentically human
artists (the drawing kind) have been posting timelapse of them drawing art for quite some time. It has since increased when AI sloperators flooded the field. But now I've heard some aren't even going to post them anymore, since the sloperators are training on those to make fake timelapse.

people are willing/able to be open and empathetic
personally, I've been bitten too many times being open to random people and getting vitriol back. Well that may be because at the height of my online activities were in reddit, just at the right moment when it started gaining mass traction and getting all sorts of assholes.
being here in lemmy/piefed (can we settle on calling it threadiverse yet?) is of course a nice breath of fresh air.

I recently found Lance Hendrick and been going through some of his older videos slowly. And sometimes watching new videos. I like how his newer guides also teach me the why with the how. I don't remember which video it was, but he wanted to make gu8de videos where he tries not to make "gospel"
Not saying that James didn't also do that, but finding more perspective really ignited my love for the coffee hobby, and I don't get too much FOMO for new gear.
Although I really do want a hario switch now after years with my aeropress. just to learn about pourovers now.

I do that as well, except I don't hit send and delete it. Sometimes I just need something let out and doesn't need it to be out in the public
Sometimes typing it out makes it sound way more stupid than I initially thought so why bother
