Another subtle one. I never thought of it that way, but I guess naming this piece in German (and thus, untranslated) does seem... odd. We do it only for some art and not others. Humans are silly silly creatures.

Don't mind me, I had a prof who was uptight about it. I am sure it would only matter for formal or technical writing, like a scientific paper.

That's just it: a sustainable path isn't in it. They want that to not even be an option. They want to burn it all twice as fast so they can buy bigger yachts.

Police Unmask Millions of Surveillance Targets Because of Flock Redaction Error
Their quote very much sounds like it was written by Noem or one of the other orange stooges:
Flock told 404 Media in an email “That website that is doxxing cops during active investigations. Today, we're busy working with journalists to cover the fact that our technology was pivotal in cracking open the case that found the Brown university / MIT serial killer in New England. If you'd like to report the news that matters, we'd be happy to speak to you about bringing justice to victims instead of activists trying to let murderers go free.”
(Deny, attack, reverse victim and offender)
Pretty typical of this administration's malignant narcissism and the concomitant authoritarianism.

Cheap things from China often have recycled or re-purposed parts. I had an antenna that came apart and is actually a tape measure with some rubber over it just soldered right to a threaded connector.

Americans' thanksgiving pie preferences by state
Title is utter horseshit.
The map is only a measure of "unique searches" by people from that state on Google. Nothing to do with actual preferences, just what they searched.
