Essentially people are convinced this or Pokemon cards will be their retirement. They're thinking they'll see enormous returns in 25 years like some people have. The problem is that for every person who made money on Pokemon or MTG, thousands didn't.

I will never forget going to the store in the mall and having Neverwinter nights in one hand, Morrowind in the other and the clerk waking up to ten year old me and saying "wow, great taste." offhandedly. I bought Morrowind that day and had never been so completely lost in a game. I ran around getting killed by everything for weeks!

The switch and other systems with that form factor are more like portable consoles than true handhelds imo. Like I can put a DS or PSP in my pocket.

If you want to play 3ds you have 3 decent options.

1. Buy a 3ds for like $200. Hack and jailbreak it. This will be the most authentic experience.

2. Buy a retro handheld. This will be a good experience and has the benefits that come with Linux based handhelds.

3. Play on Android phone and use a 3d printed joycon holder. If you have a printer or friend with one and some old switch controllers this option is really cheap and mimics the OG form factor fairly well. I use this and while it's not perfect, it is functional.

The DS is resurging because there's no mainstream handhelds now, the DS has a large library and was the most recent successful handheld.

If you're too lazy to photograph the food you produce day in and day out, I don't wanna find out where else you'll cut corners. It doesn't take much effort to pop a plate on a cutting board or white poster board and snap a shot with your phone.

That's me, I paid off my car and tend to buy vehicles that have already depreciated to the bottom of their value. My car is worth as much now as it was when I bought it.

My wife is looking for something larger since her Audi Q5 is very compact for our family. We can easily swing the payment but I'm just not liking the new vehicles much at all.

I drive a compact sports coupe, there's no world in which modern SUV headlights aren't flooding my rearview with LED ultra white brightness. Their headlights are literally the same height as my rearview.

They work, but when an SUV/truck pulls up behind me at a light it doesn't matter basically at all. The lights are so big and so bright the entire mirror is filled with their glare.
