Currupt. The word you're looking for is curruption not STUPID. All of this is very much 1000% intentional and I wish we would stop framing these thieves as idiots. They are robbing the US treasury boldly in front of our eyes and framing it as "oops we are so dumb and incompetent" but they absolutely are not. Every single bit of this is planned and meticulously thought out with the goal of stealing from you, me, and our future.
There's no corruption in a corrupt system that was literally concocted by enslavers to violently enforce their disgusting privilege. This is just how the system has always worked.
I remember someone on reddit said after he won, "now just sit back, relax, and your wallet will thank you" all smugly, like the economy was going to make us all rich.
I hope that fuck is struggling with his car payments and can't afford gas.
My ex best friend ate the whole thing hook line and sinker by both trump and musk, now he trying to make an AI startup after quitting his well paying IT job. He isn't even American
people voted for this fucking muppet, thinking he was going to do something to improve things
The fash version of improving things is attacking minorities, defunding necessary services, invading and robbing other countries, ending democracy, etc.
thinking he was going to do something to improve things
A very common mistake was in failing to understand the causes & benefits of FDR-style democracy, and the ~four decade age of prosperity that grew out of it. That and thinking that democracy was a birthright.
Such American voters were always going to be ripe for the grift.
📣 The diesel that Trump bought from Russia is diesel that Russia bought from Iran. $6.4B of US taxpayer money to fund two enemies killing our guys.
To anyone who still supports this guy: Come on... He's screwing you, stabbing friends in the back, stealing as much as he can for himself. Are you done yet?
Empire would rather steal the oil directly. But that hasn't been working for a few decades. That's part of why they attacked Iran, murdered those school girls, etc.
All Republicans are traitors at this point.
You lend your power to someone who in turn lends it to a traitor, therefore you're a traitor. The last ten years have shown that Socrates was right, the average person is too dumb to vote for their own self interest and will elect demagogues.
What do you think "liberty and the pursuit of happiness" meant to a bunch of slaves traders running cash cropping plantations on occupied territory after a couple centuries of genocide?
I think this implies too much that these people somehow care for their respective nation states when all they do is shovel money into their friends bank accounts while bleeding social welfare dry.
This is definitely something Americans have been really worried about for a long time. It's not that it's a cult or anything that adopts ridiculous ideas according to the whims of its leader.
Since Helsinki 2018, I am no longer surprised by the MAGA fucknuts and their stupid decisions. The Muscovites have Krasnov by his balls. "I know, I know," he does not have any, but what else could I type to describe the f'ed up situation.
Should one of the main aim of the war to feed weapons makers with public money (and avoid to let public money available for social welfare) it would be totally logical to prevent the war ends too fast.
I am opposed to this position, but it seems to be classical among republicans. I didn't know Graham, but yes he seems to be one of those favorable to this... Thanks for letting me know about him.
I wonder if Trump (and all Republicans) went to Putin, begging for help for the election and Putin said, "sure but you need to cripple Ukraine further. Throttle interceptors."
Then Trump/Republicans (we should never separate the two) really blew his gasket when Zelenskyy hit the botfarms who were working overtime for Trump.
For once, we kind of got a pleasant October Surprise.
Edit: I apologize I forgot to disclaimer because you people obviously don't understand context. My statement below is not an endorsement or support for either Trump, Putin or any business arrangements that they have. I do not currently support the current American administration and consider Vladimir Putin to be a vile genocidal war criminal that should be prosecuted.
This is a perfect example of how propaganda works.
Take a handful of statements, remove all the context, string them together into a narrative that supports your existing biases, and let people do the rest.
The United States banned Russian oil imports in 2022. America produces more crude oil than any other country on Earth, and Canada is its largest foreign supplier.
But apparently, we're supposed to believe that because Russia supports Iran, and America supposedly buys oil from Russia, America is somehow funding a war against itself.
The problem isn't just the disinformation. It's the people who read this, nod their heads, and upvote it without spending five minutes looking into whether any of it is actually true.
People don't want to investigate information anymore. They want confirmation that what they already believe is correct. If something supports their existing worldview, they accept it without question. If it contradicts their worldview, suddenly they need sources, citations, and a peer-reviewed study.
It's intellectually lazy, and it's exactly how propaganda works.
You don't get to complain about misinformation while enthusiastically spreading it simply because it confirms your own biases.
Edit: Not sure why the downvotes, since the statement in the meme is factually and demonstrably incorrect. However, perhaps some of you are confusing the deal Donald just made with Vlad for diesel fuel.
Diesel is a product of oil refining, but it is not crude oil. They are two completely different products with very different implications.
That said, the fact that this country is doing business with Russia in any way, shape, or form under these circumstances is an absolute betrayal of the American people. Literally anyone else would have been arrested and locked up for decades for this kind of behavior.
It is obvious that Donald Trump is not only a traitor to this country but also to the people of Ukraine.
You and I are having a talk right now that doesn't mean that I'm purchasing your house.
I'd argue that if you said you wanted to buy my house, and I was negotiating with you about the finer points, saying you were buying my house would be accurate.
Also any kind of trade negotiations with the Russians and active treason by this current administration.
I think part of the issue is finding credible sources. Who is to say what is credible and what is not credible anymore. The problem is deeper than people being lazy. Two people can research the same thing using sources they believe to be credible and get completely different answers.
Do we go off peer reviewed journals for credibility? Now you can be lazy just based off that. Who funded it, how big was the sample size, were there things in the study that could skew the results such as a lack of control group?
Google, AI social media all have their own agendas they use to skew public opinion. Are books at the library credible? Yeah? How are you so sure. Who published them, what political donations and biased have they had?
The president says things aren't credible while at the same time saying you can't trust the government. Everything contradicts itself if you look enough. So then do we go through a bunch of conflicting data while trying to maintain an unbiased opinion and then at the end decide what is real and what isn't? Are you supposed to trust news agencies in other countries? Now you have to research about those companies to see their history. Have they gotten new leadership anytime soon? All I wanted to know is if the United States is funding a war against itself by buying oil from Russia and it's turned into a rabbit hole with little definitive answers.
I guess I should have worded my last sentence better because I don't actually care about the answer to that meme. That sentence was such a small part of my comment I almost didn’t include it before I posted it. It's purpose was to show an example of how difficult it can be to research things that should be easy to find answers to.
I didn't ask you to provide a bibliography. I'm not your school professor and I wouldn't trust your bibliography even if you were capable of stringing a bibliography together without having a website/AI do it for you.
If you understood the context of my entire previous comment instead of just sharp shooting the last sentence, you would already understand where my distrust comes from.
Using distrust of a source to dismiss an argument is the foundation of conspiracy theories.
We have access to information, and our responsibility is to evaluate that information and determine its credibility based on the evidence presented.
If I read a scientific paper written by qualified experts, supported by objective data, I will give it credibility. If Fox News tells me drag queens are dangerous, I will dismiss that nonsense outright.
The source matters only insofar as it helps us evaluate the evidence. Dismissing an argument solely because of who presented it is not critical thinking. It is intellectual laziness, and your entire argument is ultimately useless.
I can explain my point to you but I cant make you understand it. We aren't going to see things eye to eye here. I agree with a lot of what you said I still don't feel like I've been fully understood but that doesn't matter. Your overall point is something I agree with.
The entire platform has a habit of going down on anything that perceived to be slightly moderating on the current narrative, even when it's not. But ya, neither does the US buy oil from Russia nor does Russia support Iran in any meaningful sense, for now.

I literally laughed out loud!

Yes yes yes! They are not stupid, they are malicious. Act accordingly.
And they probably marvel everyday at the fact that some people enthusiastically support their theft.
There's no corruption in a corrupt system that was literally concocted by enslavers to violently enforce their disgusting privilege. This is just how the system has always worked.
I think you meant corruption, but you're absolutely right.
Spelling isn't my special interest.
people voted for this fucking muppet, thinking he was going to do something to improve things
the great american experiment is a failure. nice not knowing you all

Now that's what I call a 'self-own' 👀
The fash version of improving things is attacking minorities, defunding necessary services, invading and robbing other countries, ending democracy, etc.
From that perspective things have improved!

The US Bought Iranian Oil from Russia
Let's say it again:
📣 The diesel that Trump bought from Russia is diesel that Russia bought from Iran. $6.4B of US taxpayer money to fund two enemies killing our guys.
To anyone who still supports this guy: Come on... He's screwing you, stabbing friends in the back, stealing as much as he can for himself. Are you done yet?
lol. No thanks on the imperial "we". Those are not my guys.
If you’re American, and if you pay taxes these are infact your guys.
Good bad or ugly, the American military belongs to the American people via the constitution
Empire would rather steal the oil directly. But that hasn't been working for a few decades. That's part of why they attacked Iran, murdered those school girls, etc.
This is what you get when you elect a literal traitor as president
All Republicans are traitors at this point. You lend your power to someone who in turn lends it to a traitor, therefore you're a traitor. The last ten years have shown that Socrates was right, the average person is too dumb to vote for their own self interest and will elect demagogues.
Trump is 100% loyal to this system.
He’s not loyal, he’s profiting.
The only thing that would make this meme better is if Trump was doing his double handy circle jerk dance jerking those other jackasses off.
While he naps and shits in his nappies on live TV
Big brain high IQ efficiency at its finest.
It's only stupid if you're stupid enough to think that these people give a fuck about the planet or human life.
But the real slap in the face to the US is Canada's unfair trade practices in Christmas trees and maple syrup!
This is definitely something Americans have been really worried about for a long time. It's not that it's a cult or anything that adopts ridiculous ideas according to the whims of its leader.
it's smart for business (if that business is manufacturing weapons of war).
just another grift to throw in the griftfire.
Yeah, it makes perfect sense when framed as a war between the ultra-wealthy and everyone else rather nation against nation.
"Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia."
Since Helsinki 2018, I am no longer surprised by the MAGA fucknuts and their stupid decisions. The Muscovites have Krasnov by his balls. "I know, I know," he does not have any, but what else could I type to describe the f'ed up situation.
Got him by his mushroom?
If you're anti-US Trump is like the best person for the job
Russia and Russia's hired POTUS are funding a war on the US
Shart of the deal!
Should one of the main aim of the war to feed weapons makers with public money (and avoid to let public money available for social welfare) it would be totally logical to prevent the war ends too fast.
Lindsey Graham? I thought you were dead!
I am opposed to this position, but it seems to be classical among republicans. I didn't know Graham, but yes he seems to be one of those favorable to this... Thanks for letting me know about him.
I'm not super knowledgeable in the field but maybe Trump wants to bring the gas prices down for the upcoming election, without caring about how.
Also a prolonged war means defence contractors, who have always been US friends get more business as a result.
The tiny amount of diesel he bought will not have a measurable impact. If that was his plan he's either stupid or stupid and desperate.
That tracks.
I wonder if Trump (and all Republicans) went to Putin, begging for help for the election and Putin said, "sure but you need to cripple Ukraine further. Throttle interceptors."

Insanity…
and it's far from the first time...

So what is the missing context? Why is the statement wrong?
Because we don't buy our oil from Russia at all.
And when we did it was relatively small amounts.
So the statement is correct, just not impactful
No. We still don't buy our oil from Russia.
Well they are talking about buying oil fields from russia. What would you call that?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States%E2%80%93Russia_oil_deal?wprov=sfla1
I would say that the Americans and Russians are engaged in talks for trade of energy materials.
Which is not the same as buying oil.
You and I are having a talk right now that doesn't mean that I'm purchasing your house.

It's literally a scam. Governments are nothing but glorified gangsters.
