Are you kidding me? Gustavo’s entire character arch is about getting revenge for the murder of his boyfriend by Hector Salamanco! It gets explored further in Better Call Saul as well.

Do you know any good alternatives to Proton for e-mail? Preferably with the option to bring my own address. I’ve heard that self hosting can be a bit of an issue for e-mail…

Came to say this! Drug addicts need help, not jail. Sure, if they commit a crime police should be involved, but it’s not going to cure their addiction!

My home server was a totally justified purchase
On a related note, is Serial Experiments: Lain actually available to watch anywhere, or would I have to take to the high seas?

Insanely Tight Japanese Parking Arrangements
Fun fact: In Japan you have to prove that you have parking space for it in order to buy a car, so these are all officially approved parking spaces for these vehicles!

business is business
Using the price of the equipment as a reason was not a great decision 😅 Sure, the deprecation of your equipment is part of what the customers pay for, but any sane person would value their time much higher than that (unless the equipment is something ridiculous like an oil tanker).
And living with a photographer has taught me that it takes a lot of time! Just picking out which of the 800+ images from an event you want to show to the client for final choice is quite a job. And that’s before you even start to look at editing, which is always needed.
And then there is expertise. My SO knows what to do and how to do it because of her experience. You pay for that as well, and it should be worth quite a bit if you care about the quality of what you’re purchasing.

This week's beans

Yeah, these terms aren’t used that much here it seems. Most light roasts I’ve encountered abroad are darker than what I’m used to from Norway, lol.
For this shop in particular, they just use filter/espresso roast in case they have the same beans roasted for both preparation methods. And both would be light roasts, just tuned in for each method.
And yes, yummy! 😋

Can’t really say I get «black tea» while drinking it 😅 The aroma has some elements of it, though. But I like it! Not the best coffee I’ve had from Supreme, but they’re consistently pretty great!

Oh yeah, they were great! I always buy the anaerobic stuff when they have it, but this one was even wilder than usual so I needed a break from all the funky fruitiness, haha 😅

Finally bought a grinder!
Yeah, getting a real grinder was probably the single biggest leap in quality I have experienced in my coffee journey so far. Congrats!

This is amazing
My favorite detail is that one of the vertical solutions is a Star Wars quote only if you choose “Star Trek” as the horizontal solution!

It’s 100 % because you no longer need to understand how information technology works in order to use it.
So our parents didn’t know because the tech didn’t exist (or came late in their life), and our kids because they never needed to learn.

This is on a facebook story about how driving faster than 50 km/hour increases the risk of pedestrians dying
having to drive slower than reasonable
Honestly, this only exemplifies why speed limits by themselves don’t work. We have to design the streets so that the lower speed feels reasonable.
I know I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but it’s always worth saying.

Except for the obvious edit adding Graham’s name, yes this is a real thing Donald Trump posted on Truth Social when former FBI director Robert Mueller died.

Nobel prize winners then vs. Nobel prize winners now
Unfortunately this isn’t a new thing. Knut Hamsun, winner of the 1920 Nobel Prize in Literature, infamously gave his medal to Joseph Goebbels in 1943.

this is exactly the shit fucking job you'd expect from him to repair a national monument
Is it Zima blue?
Jokes aside, this says so much about the way Trump sees the world. It’s a pool, so it must look like a swimming pool because that’s all he knows.

This is just sad.
Ooof. The house itself isn’t so bad, if a little out of place, but the lawn/paver desert they placed in front of it is absolutely horrendous!
The “makeover” of the house on the left is also pretty awful.
