Anyone here "quiet" ADHD?

This was me during my youth - quiet, polite and serene on the outside, white noise on the inside. Teachers couldn't work out why I excelled at some things and failed totally at others, they thought I was smart but not applying myself to my work. It took me til my 30s to get a diagnosis.

"Palworld is going to be the survival crafting game everyone always wanted" and "people will be shocked" at how big 1.0 is, says Pocketpair publishing lead

Actually they're suing because of these alleged infringement of these weirdly general patents:

  1. throwing an item at a character in a field triggering a combat state.
  2. capturing creatures in the wild, rather than in a battle setting.
  3. riding creatures in an open world and transitioning between those creatures.

US appeals court declares 158-year-old home distilling ban unconstitutional

Man, a lot of people here just repeating the same old myths and police lines about moonshine making you blind and stills exploding. Not to be that guy but do some research.

Methanol poisoning is hugely overstated, sugar and grain mash don't produce enough for it to be dangerous. Fruit mash can, but it's easy to mitigate. Most cases of methanol poisoning are either the person purposefully drinking methanol or from alcohol that's been adulterated with it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_methanol_poisoning_incidents

Stills can start fires, if improperly operated, but so can gas hobs and we're not calling for a license to operate those. You really need to be making industrial quantities at pressure for it to explode. Looking at it as a cause of fires in countries where it's legal indicate that it's a non-issue. If you're worried about forest fires, don't make it so people need to hide in the woods and they'll do it at home.

What's a company secret you can share now that you no longer work there?

If you're doing a holiday in the USA and renting a car via enterprise, Alamo or national book with Rentalcars.com, unless you're flying with doing a Virgin package holiday, in Which case do it with them. They have the best rates in the market due to special agreements. If you want the best customer service experience for rental cars book with Virgin as they will put a lot of pressure on Alamo/national/enterprise who will bend over backwards for you.

Always love seeing these come up and everyone confidently stating that it's been solved. Everything from a knitting tool (highly unlikely as the Romans didn't knit) to a dice. The truth is we just don't know and likely never will unless a new source .

Personally I'm convinced by the theory that they're probably a metalworkers portfolio piece used to demonstrate the creators skill, either to potential customers or as a test to join a guild.

The main change was the chapter" riddles in the dark" - in the original printing Gollum willingly handed the ring over when Bilbo won the riddle contest. He did attempt other changes but these were rejected as they changed the tone of the book to much. He did make some later edits post Lord of the Rings due to the US copywrite expiring but these mostly changed minor lore details to bring it in line with the silmarillion.
