Seeing shit like this kills me. People are so ignorant.
Christians fought for the land? You are talking about the genocide of native Americans? The same ones that owned slaves?... Yeah ok, I understand why YOU like them so much now...

Anon lives with their parents
Where do you live to be able to buy a house in cash after 3 years of working? Where I live the average appartment is about 400K euros and the average house is closer to 500K euros.
Maybe you can find something for 250K if you really buy something small that needs lots of work. But you still need over 80K a year excluding taxes, probably closer to 120K before taxes.

People: so how will you know what chats and photos contain CP?

Software Terminology
In the Netherlands basically everyone uses whatsapp. In the beginning people would say send me a whatsapp or something like that. But pretty quickly people started to shorten it to just app. So people will say stuff like I just got an app (instead of message), it drives me nuts. Like my family chat group is called "app group".

AI Startup Flock Thinks It Can Eliminate All Crime In America
Americans when you talk about gun control: NOOO mah freedom, I need it to protect myself from the government.
Americans when you tell them a private company is going to monitor and track every citizen, basically making a dystopian police state: I have nothing to hide so it's fine.
I feel Europe is basically the other way around, less guns, but more privacy.

So um, the united states just started another war in the middle east. We're going to need a shit ton more memes to distract americans from the nightmare they are enduring. Thanks in advance...

Company behind Jack Daniel's says Canadian boycott is 'significant' as sales drop 62%
In the past I used to go to Macdonalds or burger king fairly often. I also enjoy whiskey and bourbon so I bought Woodford reserve.
Macdonalds and burger king, I stopped going when they kept the food the same but doubled the prices. For the same amount I'd rather go to some local artisinal burger place.
American bourbon I just stopped buying when trump started to make threats against the EU and Canada. In 2022 I visited the US, but right now I don't want to go to the US or use US products. Services I'm slowly getting away from but it takes some time.
Even if your next president is Bernie Sanders, I probably still wouldn't trust the US again. Who is next after him? Can be a trump like president again.
Where I live we have this saying, trust comes by foot but leaves by horse. It's going to take a lot of time to earn trust back.

In short because Elon (wrongly) believes you only need cameras, he made the claim people also drive with just 2 eyes.
The thing is, we recognize a truck with stickers of a stopsign, while AI vision gets confused.
Waymo (Googles self driving side hussle) was build on lidar and other sensors and has been using robot taxis for many years now in geofenced specific areas.

The best phones with a headphone jack - December 2024
Reply in thread
What are you talking about, the headphone jack is the superior connector. It works on all devices, it doesn't need power, you can use it on a walkman from the 80s if you want. It can also rotate and is a lot more durable than USBC.

In the Netherlands you pay a road tax every 3 months. The amount is based on weight (because a heavier car does more damage to a road) but also on eco label. So an electric car that has the best eco label can have less tax than an old (but much lighter) diesel car.
