Never forget

Yeah, the base model might, possibly, come out (though judging by previous performance, pretty good chance it won't). The fan one could possibly, but it's more of a gimmick than anything (also going to be very annoying for maintenance). The ones with the tanks though? Yeah, severely doubt it, especially the flying one. Like you said, investment grift. That doesn't even seem to have paid off, judging by stock price. And, if somehow it DOES come out, it'll be severely compromised. Like having a battery that lasts like 10 minutes or something. And probably be running those COPVs way above normal safety limits. It's the OceanGate Titan all over again.

Never forget

There's Musk in the Epstein files, for sure. But you know what I love above the Roadster? The people buying the flying versions are going to be quite wealthy. The flying versions are likely to experience RUDs and malfunctions, much like Musk's rockets (see the recent Thunderf00t video). So, Musk may have inadvertently made us a way to get rid of rich people.

Is that a bad thing? 🤔

That would assume Trump is WAY smarter than he appears to be. Dude is just a rich, racist, old, dementia laden asshole with some skills at manipulating people. In his mind, and the mind of his supporters, universal healthcare is the worst possible thing because it would mean all those minorities wouldn't die so quickly AND we'd have to tax the rich more.

People like this are their own worst enemy because their ideology mostly attracts stupid, incompetent people. Also, since people like Trump demand loyalty above all else, they boot many of their smarter supporters because they have WAY too much independent thought and are either a threat or don't instantly ask how high when the boss says jump. And, in practice, the ideology is abhorrent to most of the population, even many of it's supporters. It's always a "I thought the leopards would eat OTHER people's faces" type thing.

Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak got cheers, not boos, after telling students they 'all have AI — actual intelligence'

Woz's net worth is estimated to be $100 million to $140 million. So, he's certainly no billionaire, but he doesn't exactly have meager wealth either. Honestly, I view $100 million as about the most a person should realistically have to still be remotely a normal person. After that, it's really just excess and power. That's enough where you've definitely won life - you can have lots of toys, a mansion, never need to work again, a very nice income in perpetuity, etc.

political star wars

And the Andor series is literally a class on fascism. Things presented there are inspired by real world events. The second season in particular makes it REALLY clear. You literally have the Empire conspiring with media to produce propaganda to undermine the Ghorman people so the Empire can come in and steal the planet's resources and kill the people. Then the Empire stages a massacre and uses it as further propaganda

The Free Market Lie: Why Switzerland Has 25 Gbit Internet and America Doesn't

I'm out in the country in Colorado. I have a small local ISP. I can get 10Gb if I want it. I have 100Mb because that's all I need. Honestly, for most people, I really don't know what you'd do with 25Gb. Even 10Gb is tough for alot of home users. The equipment is out there and not even that expensive, but its also not something most people own. Most people who own that sort of stuff are either home labbers or tech enthusiasts. And even if most people did, they would rarely use it to its full potential. For most people 2.5Gb is far more practical. Oddly enough it can be harder and more expensive to get your hands on than 10Gb because it's just starting to really penetrate the consumer market, where 10Gb was common in datacenters for a long time, so used equipment is quite reasonable.

The biggest issue with ISPs in the US is that you have legacy players entrenched in a market and unwilling to spend the money to do upgrades. The main reason I have what I have is because a local company saw an opportunity to go into a space others were failing badly at and used a state grant to help fund the buildout. Soon, I may have a second option because my electric co-op is working on their own build. Since they answer to their members and not the stock market, now that fiber is cheap, they can build this stuff widely. We need more of all that.

Is this too much to ask?

As long as you live frugally and in a reasonable COL area, this isn't crazy expensive. Doable with a couple million in net worth. Huge difference between that and what many of the rich are worth. The reality is that a million dollars isn't what it used to be and the fight isn't with people with single digit millions, it's with people with triple digit millions and up. Yes, having single digit millions feels like being rich in today's economy to many, but, in the eyes of the truly wealthy, a single digit millionaire might as well be a destitute homeless person.
