Check back in a couple of hours to see that the account will have been deleted. It seems to be a pattern of accounts being created, posting a bunch of news-like links, and then being purged. It is probably to make it impossible to filter out whatever it is they're trying to push.

Didn't even know an instance could block a specific community of another instance. I thought the only option was defederation. Is there any way to see/list the communities blocked by an instance?

How does the fine nib on this compare to other Lamy fine nibs? Same thickness, or different?

The general consensus seems to be that Japanese pens usually are one "step" finer when it comes to nib thickness so that a Japanese fine is usually the same as a non-japanese extra fine.

I am relatively new to fountain pens, but so far the pens I have used always started to write immediately even after a week of not being used. By recommendation of most of the articles I've found on the subject I've also always stored them vertically with the cap pointing upwards.

I've been toying with very similar ideas thinking that if I run my own instance I would at least be 100% certain that my account would never be deleted or held hostage by a rouge server admin. But then I would have to deal with the security of my own instance instead, trading one headache for another and I'm not sure that it would be worth it.

That lists entirely blocked instances (defederated instances), yes, but the original post talks about blocking specific communities of an instance, which I didn't think was possible.

Just a small pointer: If the goal was to convince the person you replied to, the third condescending paragraph is a surefire way to make them not listen, which is a shame because the first two paragraphs are actually solid arguments.
