My god I still chuckle when I see these bean posts.

I very much enjoy playing solo ttrpgs. I really don't subscribe myself to the "dude bro" energy of just writing a book because playing solo is something I don't understand. If I wanted to try to write a book then I would write a book. But that's the thing, I don't want to write a book. I want an experience that I can be both the GM and player with a story that can surprise me. I hardly even journal my sessions. Just general notes about monsters that I would fight or what I bought from an NPC. Just my 2 cents I guess.

Happened to me after I tried my first edible. Was sitting in the shower until the hot water ran out. Then it was a mad dash to hurry and wash up before the water was too cold.

I think I'll stick around. I never posted or commented on reddit before so there's really nothing for me there aside from the small communities I follow. All of which have a decent discord presence now. So anything related to news in those circles I can keep up with there. I am hoping more will move away from reddit after the blackout so we will see.

This post is/was a catalyst for a bunch of memes of just beans. OP is taking a friendly jab at everyone joining Lemmy being excited of the new platform and up voting everything. Also if you see a bunch of Mr. Bean as well that's related since, well, his name.

I highly valued the discovery of niche communities. Like solo ttrpgs as my current hyper fixation. I always lurked on reddit so I hope to be more involved here. And of course memes.

Funny enough, it was when r/grimdank turned into a BattleTech meme subreddit for a short while that I discovered BattleTech. Since then I've been hooked in entirely.

The game being on game pass makes an easy pick up for me. But if I consider buying on steam I'll wait until the game releases first

It's pretty difficult to pick a favorite or most interested mech since there are so many to choose from. But I would start with the Shadowhawk is probably my favorite aesthetically. I try to field it whenever I can but it tends to under perform. But that's ok for me cause I'm just happy to see it on a table. Mechanically, I had great success in having a Thug on my roster.

Faction wise, I would put my 2 cents in for the Capellan's. Partly so I can have people to play against and partly they're bit of an underdog in my understanding of the lore. If I were to pick a favorite clan it would be a toss up between Goliath Scorpion or Ghost Bear.

Would love an update on how that session goes in Destiny! And that color scheme looks really cool with what I saw on CamoSpecs
