Well if that isn't just about the most evil thing you could openly admit to doing.

Conservatives hate teachers because teachers don’t need to work when kids aren’t in school for the summer. That’s the only complaint I’ve ever truly heard from them. Meanwhile, those same teachers are up stupid early, on time every fucking day, dealing with over-filled classes of every type of child, and then doing even more labour in the evenings as they aren’t officially given much of any time to create plans or mark work.

YOU are literally the original poster here, of something showing ICE agents not doing anything remotely legal. If there exists a “good” ICE agent out there, they are confirming their visits, knowing and operating within their legal reach, and stopping at least their immediate coworkers from clearly illegal activity. These two are not “just in a bad situation”, they’re garbage people who joined the oppressors to participate in the oppression.

The cruelty of ICE and police is voluntary one, and one that is all too often practiced with glee.

Literally you did excuse them, or at the very least attempt to argue that they’re being forced to behave this way under threat of poverty(which is trying to absolve them of reaponsibility, which is definitionally an excuse). This isn’t working at Walmart so you can put food on the table, it’s getting your wage from illegally attacking visible minorities in a million colourful ways. They’re doing that shit for the love of the game.

I’m all for nuance of thought, but clearly no thinking was done so I’m not sure what you’re mad about.

My ex’s parents almost donated a little crystal bowl thing. If they did, someone at the thrift shop would have found a nice little crystal bowl thing.

The reality? Her mom’s family was living in Europe because her grandfather’s job and while they were there they met some people who escaped the USSR. Long story short, since they were allowed, her family ended up crossing into the USSR with a bundle of photos and letters to give to the family of the people they had met. The family still behind the iron curtain was so grateful they gave them the crystal bowl. That bowl would have been very valuable to them, but the information about their family in France was worth so much more.

I took the bowl instead. Its little story, and that family’s gratitude, is not forgotten and now it holds some candy on my bookshelf.

So, I wanted to go at the guy for not reading your article but in reading it myself I did find possibly missing something. Like, they talk about them fitting within one another but then show that there are definitely differences. Maybe it’s a case of the same number screwdriver not being equal but +/- 1 number gets you back on track, I dunno.

The article definitely isn’t fully selling me on what they’re saying, though. I own a 1986 Ninja 1000 and have done extensive work to it(engine in half, whole bike in pieces at one point) and there was definitely something up with the bolts. I replaced them all with new button-head and socket-head hex bolts and life was much easier.

The thing is fake moon landing people are also flat earthers and shit. To them, the money isn’t the important part, it’s the hiding of some sort of special knowledge. When you say it would cost more that implies that there’s an option that costs less which is possible in the first place.

To them, there’s always another layer of justification they can add. Russia would have said something? Well, you see, the Russia/USA beef is manufactured by a secret cabal of, I dunno, Freemasons. It would have been leaked? Don’t worry, everyone involved was replaced by obidient clones.

With a good editor, some conspiracy theorists could be decent writers if they weren’t using their creativity to be insane.

Explain how what I’ve been doing has been haopening for decades. I’m specifically saying that way too many people have been scared into strategic voting and that we all need to start voting FOR things instead of against them. Literally said it’s not been happening, because it fucking hasn’t been and I would like to stop being so alone in standing by my convictions.

Ranked choice would be sick and I know it’s the way forward. Here in Canada the centrist LPC was elected largely on updating our electoral system IN 2015 and then nearly immediately went “it’s too haaaaaard” when they realized that they would probably never win another election. That was blatantly anti-democratic and should have led people to never vote for them ever again, but they are STILL in power because we’re a bunch of spineless cowards. We TRIED to do what you’re asking and it DID NOT WORK. The only times we’ve seen the LPC do anything good are when they’ve had a minority government and the progressive NDP could use their leverage to force them to do the right thing. The NDP, I might add, used ranked-choice voting for their recent leadership race.

Go take a long walk off a short pier. The cold water might help clear your head.

This HAS to be satire

It wasn’t, and maybe still isn’t in a lot of places, but auto manufacturers didn’t want to slow their customers down after all the pedestrian injuries/deaths so they invented jay-walking as more of a propaganda thing. It’s so ubiquitous though that law or not, it’s treated like it’s a high crime anyway.

Ms Rachel has to ask the world to investigate hanging black people

Reply in thread

She works as the host(?) of a kids show. Basically modern Mr. Rogers, as far as I can tell, in terms of being a good person and just wanting to be a good role-model for children.

The post isn’t long. It’s “black people don’t hang themselves from trees” in regards to the fact that over a half-dozen people have been found fucking lynched and no one has done fuck-all about it.

There Is No Male Loneliness Crisis. What’s Actually Happening Is So Much Darker.

Reply in thread

Do you know what those debates amount to? It’s mostly “you’re not pretty enough” or “you’re too picky(for having standards)” or anything else that can either sell them a product or get them to put up with abuse.

And who is keeping the male issues off the air? Other men. Again, it sells an idea and keeps people divided. Men who talk about their feelings are way more likely to vote progressive and the rich can’t have that!

They’re not hijacking it, they’re saying that the root cause ends up being the same. It unites the two problems, and lets everyone tackle the problem together and find solutions that work regardless of gender. There is a loneliness epidemic, not a male loneliness epidemic.

Bro, Canada and the US have been doing the whole “vote centrist and tell the progressives that we’ll get to their utopic ideas ‘just as soon as we get to these goalposts we totally won’t move’” thing for decades and it’s only gotten us massive delayed, half-assed progress at best, but mostly just contributed to the ratcheting effect. It doesn’t work, we’ve seen it not working in real-time, its time we gave up on that crap.

If you don’t vote for what you want, you aren’t going to get it. If you the people you vote for learn they only have to be marginally better than another boogeyman party then they are also going to learn that they don’t need to listen to you. As fucked up as the system is, no party actually gets votes that are weighted more than another’s. It’s not like votes for other parties’ are literally counted at half the rate; we can turn this shit around tomorrow if we actually did something about it. And there IS something starting, progressives are getting more power and attention, and people are getting energized. Don’t kill that momentum, lean into it, show that you support it and let others feel comfortable to show their support, too.

The simple reality that I see when I talk to “strategic” voters is that they’re scared, and they worry about everyone else being scared, too. It’s always “well, maybe next election…” until it’s “ok well this time I don’t think it’s the right time to…”.

You’re just shitting all over quality candidates because you’re terrified of losing. You have this backwards logic of “I will only support them when they get support” and, if you truly believe that, you expect others to follow it as well. But if everyone follows it, where does that leave you?

By not supporting someone, you are contributing to what people see as “electable qualities” and YOU are saying that something can’t be done. This is how centrists, who are really just conservatives, have become so fucking pervasive.

I am, because that is how it works. I’m from Canada, one party is progressive, then we have two other parties which amount to northern copies of the DNC and GOP. We have other small ones. People’s main excuse for not voting for the progressive party is “they can’t win” and we refer to their seats in parliament to show that because we’re largely cowards.

People have a hard time seeing what “support” is, but everyone can see the spread of MPs(member of congress, essentially) and they make choices based on that. People will look me in my real face and say “I wanted to vote NDP but I neeeeeeded to vote against the Conservatives” and now our forests are on fire and our Prime Minister is sucking Trump’s dick, fighting our unions, and handing over taxpayer money to oil and gas companies or real-estate developers(don’t worry, they’re not doing anything to ease the cost of living).

If you do not vote for something then you are voting against it. Maybe you’re ok with that, maybe you deem it worth it, but you need to accept that reality and what it shows everyone else.

The bigwigs who want AI-generated NPCs and writing think you're too dumb to appreciate a good story—don't prove them right

I understood what you wrote. It was “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” as an argument for keeping Ai around. Stop fighting so hard for something that is completely unregulated and huge net-negative for the world.

Also no, “wizards” is not what I meant. Do you even understand what you wrote? Do you understand anything? God, you’re a mess.

I’m well aware of my thoughts on the matter, and where they came from, and what I choose to do with them. I have explained them, but you don’t like what I’m saying so you’re deliberately misinterpreting my replies and then complaining about me not making sense. Don’t deflect, coward.
