Orange man baby freaks out again

Dude. What is Trump's problem? Is he trying to start a war? Because this is how you start wars. Canadians are our neighbors and nobody gives a shit about what a lake is called unless it's the name of a serial child-rapist criminal like "Trump"

On behalf of most Americans, Canada, we're sorry and just as fed up with this fucking Nazi as you are. When he dies, let's have an international party where we all relax and do things that reduce our collective cortisol levels.

Also, let's just all call it Lake Awesome Canada.

Fucking... What an embarrassment. We're so sorry.

JK Rowling compares herself to convicted rapist while threatening “brain injury” against critics

Reply in thread

She's a billionaire and author of ex-beloved children's series, Harry Potter.

She currently (and for YEARS now) uses a LOT of her money and influence for hateful bigoted political movements and calls it philanthropy. She targets trans and queer people with her hate, primarily, but lately, her views are becoming more and more clearly far right.

She continues to make a shit ton of money through negligence and denial of supporting her and her ideals because TV series and movies and merch and fandom continue.

She often targets individuals publicly, posting about them on social media.

Think: super hateful person, except billionaire who's actively getting richer and actively and successfully uses hundreds of millions of dollars a year to influence politics to make life worse for everybody, even those she claims to protect.

And the controversy is that the goal is to boycott her works to starve her of income and platform, but there are bots and real people who argue against that at every point of arguable logic, using ignorance, bad logic, appealing to exhaustion, weaponized negligence, and dog whistles. Every so often, she does another shitty thing and posts pop up about her, and there's always a few people who either: eternally simp for her, argue against her but whose solutions are ineffective, or just try anything to pretend it isn't a big deal.

if only people knew how based He is

Jesus was a guy. So were the thousands of random crazy streetside people yakkin about whatever random shit.

There is no god. There is no such thing.

There is no afterlife. There is no such thing.

There is only this life and right now.

THIS. IS. YOUR. LIFE.

RIGHT. NOW.

No sky dadddies, no mythological creatures. Just society and not being a terrible fucking human to others.

Morality and therefore ethics are made up by all of us, dynamically, variably, to exact control, unity, and to benefit that which we want. Don't get that confused and all fucked up with cults. Religion is all cults, and always has been and always will be, because it's FAITH. You have to take something as true with no evidence. That's what faith is.

Be offended. Be upset. Struggle, cope, grow, find real purpose, and stop wasting your life on cult abuse. Fuck religions. They can be interesting, fascinating... Hell, even appealing. But it's all fake, made up bullshit to affect peoples' behavior in some way.

The stuff that matters and is real is staring you right smack dab in the face. So take a deep breath, know that you've been had. Accept it, mourn the lie and the loss, and try to do and be better. Morality exists well and healthy completely outside of religion, you just have to actually think about it.

And for those of you who have or will have kids, please please please consider teaching your kids how to be good people and find real happiness. It's definitely possible and happens all the time.

Welcome to your life. The horrors of being aware of your own real mortality, and what that means. It's hard, but it's also the most meaningful thing you'll ever have. It's a shame to waste it in delusion.

So don't.

Go outside. Smile at somebody who's having a hard time. Build community. These things are real.

Have a potluck. Go see a movie. Pretend you believe. It's okay sometimes. That's the power of being human... And being truly alive.

This stuff takes time to unpack, unlearn, consider, and relearn how to live. Religion is everywhere. Class war is everywhere. Fucked up stuff is everywhere.

If you decide this isn't for you, that's okay, you can go back. But if you do, please please please understand that your worldview can absolutely hurt others when you think you may be doing the right thing or even do nothing at all. Every action, word, inaction, silence, and thought really happens, and can affect yourself and others.

Being alive is a great adventure. But remember that, just like walking ancient halls or along the earth's surface in this solar system, in this galaxy, in this universe, we, our minds, our somewhat self aware nervous systems, being alive for however long we have left - are all just visitors here. We don't exist, then we do, then we don't, again... We are visiting. Until, someday, we must say goodbye, and take the forever sleep.

When I hit submit on this comment, I'm gonna stretch, and feel my body for what it is and what it's capable of, all my limits, and appreciate that I can feel it at all. I'm alive, for now. And that's awesome. And you should do that, too, if you can. And if you can't, do whatever you can do, and know that you're alive, too, for now, and that's awesome.

I hope any and all of you who read this have the best possible day you can.

Breathe, drink more water, stretch, and appreciate being alive.

Gen Z turns against capitalism as DSA takes off

Well regulated capitalism is socialism. The more you think about it and dig at it, the more you realize that what you want actually just is straight up socialism and explicitly not capitalism.

The capital in capitalism is the power to the money, a positive feedback loop. And that socialism is all the stuff that people actually like. It gets into ownership and copyright and what is ownable, but all of that is very important to consider when making or thinking about worldviews.

Somebody more awake than me can put out names and concepts. The world is a weird place and it can change in an instant. I wish I could live forever and see where it goes and ride that ride.

‘I just fought for my life on my front lawn’: Transgender man attacked with hatchet at South Hill home

Yeah. Those guys? Those guys end up abusers, assaulters, and murderers and are extremely dangerous. Don't grayrock those guys and don't turn your back, EVER. People like that are terrifying and extremely dangerous.

Those are the people who try to ruin and end your life and your loved ones lives from the shadows and in the light with a gang of domestic terrorists.
