Get rid of them.

To be fair, you could have the best doctor in the world. The second they enter those dates into the database with the rest of your notes it is out of their hands. The IT department will be responsible for handing over the data.

Food Not Bombs trial rescheduled after too many jurors objected to $500 fine for feeding homeless

Stop telling them this in advance! They can't get at your work material or deliberations. Just give them a general affirmative and go on to nullify that shit.

Also, at the point you can't seat a jury because they're telling you they won't convict there has to be some kind of slaughter rule. To stop wasting the court's time if nothing else. Because at some point you're just letting the prosecutor choose a verdict, not a jury.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott declares that Texas law supercedes Federal authority and hints at secession

Can we just acknowledge that this is unhinged? Biden has the strongest border policies ever implemented by a Democrat. This just shows that there is no compromise possible with these traitors. They will never admit you made a step in their direction, only demand more and more and more until you're just doing their bidding.

This is truly the way of extremists and terrorists, they demand the country be run to their preferences, democratic systems be damned.

Apparently, due process is unrelated to an illegal deportation without due process case.

This is also blatant misinformation. No judge ever made a finding that he was associated with MS-13. The government asserted it in court but it's never been proven. The immigration proceedings largely revolved around his asylum application, interview, and testimony.

So they're lying in an attempt to make it sensational enough to bust past due process. For an example of how that looks long term, check Duterte's regime in the Philippines. Many people were killed extrajudicially and written off as drug dealers.

it was a rethorical question

A reminder about your rights. If the government can declare you to have an attribute that negates your rights, then you have no rights.

In laymen's terms, if ICE arrests you and fast deports you, whose going to stop them? Okay but you get to a consulate in the foreign country and get back home. When you come out of your lawyer's office (because you're suing ICE), ICE arrests you again, this time as a criminal illegal alien because you came back in. They tell no one they have you, they tell no one where you are. You have no rights according to them. You are sent to an El Salvadoran prison in contravention of a court order not to deport you.

These are all things that have happened separately. We've accidently deported Americans. We've deported Americans on purpose. (Trump sent American kids away so he could deport their parents too) We've deported someone to an El Salvadoran prison in contravention of a court order.

If they don't have rights, then neither do you because the government can just declare you a member of that group and as long as the guys with guns maintain that fiction, nobody can stop them.

Poignant post on the state of things

This seems like a good place to post this reminder that in the last 50 years income has lost to inflation by 137 points. That's decades of prices rising faster than wages. It's not rocket science. They walked away with all of the productivity gains, and gave the entire country a pay cut at the same time. You want a boring dystopia? How about stealing your paycheck a couple percentage points a year until suddenly we realize we can't afford to live without 3 full time incomes in one household.

Bands Ditch Metal Fest After Kyle Rittenhouse Announced as Special Guest

If veteran charities could stop trying to align with fascists this veteran would be a lot happier. I have PTSD and I don't want a dime of this money. That dumbfuck created his situation and killed someone over property that wasn't his after threatening to kill protestors. The only reason he isn't locked up is because the judge is as fascist as he is.

I lost 4,000 friends fighting Authoritarianism and Religious Extremism. I'm not sure where the fuck anyone thinks it's a good idea to associate us with far right stuff except for the guys trying to recruit us.

Indian start-up Yes Madam fires employees who indicated being stressed in the survey

Don't ever engage with culture sensing surveys honestly. The only place they weren't a trap (ironically) was the US Army where they did it on paper, punished people for putting their names on them, and walked right past your entire immediate chain of command to their bosses with the results. And the one time things were truly bad they literally brought in a Sociology expert to study our unit and figure out how things had gone bad, it resulted in all new leadership and team building exercises, in a war zone. (These results do not extend to other branches, I had one done by the Navy and it was corpo trap bullshit, got a lot of the Army guys there by surprise.)
