Mark Zuckerberg wants Meta to launch its own prediction market

I mean the data harvesting and advertising markets are shrivelling because these arseholes pushed their shit way too hard and made the systems unusable, so it's not surprising he's trying to pivot to the next morally void money making grift to satisfy the yawning void that should have been his soul. Just keep shovelling human misery in Zuck, I'm sure it will fill up eventually. Probably should have jumped on this one a few years ago though.

smart people can admit mistakes and apologize

Sadly telling someone with baby brain that they are stupid and have a baby brain isn't going to help them change. Baby's don't learn like that. We need to sing them songs and make learning fun until they have a leap and want to learn more all by themselves. Also cutting their screen time to zero until their brains develop well into toddler brain is supposed to be super beneficial.

Few places nowadays is it legal to lay around & do whatever you want outdoors, usually getting cited for loitering or something. Thank goodness for beaches, we're mostly free here.

In some places the nice beaches have been privatised by local hotels or clubs so you gotta pay them to sit on the beach or go sit somewhere less nice. Coming from Western Australia where we have the nicest beaches in the world (all free), I take this concept of "owning beach space" as a personal affront.

Bingo

Yeah the internet was fine when it was just nerds talking about nerd stuff and relentlously fact checking each other. As soon as people realised they could make a lot more money from it by making it more accessible to regular schlubs it's been a shit show. It's a giant multi-dimensional tabloid newspaper now.
