I think there has always been funny and unfunny shows, just like there has always been music you will like and music you won’t like. Sometimes your sensibilities line up with cultural zeitgeist and other times you have to dig a little harder to find it. 🤷‍♂️ Don’t be that boomer being like ‘back in my day we had REAL music/comedy/whatever’

Thank goodness, I was hoping this was satire.

I also heard by the socks. Millennials do no-show, but apparently high socks are the style now? Those will never not look super dorky to me, so I guess I’m old now.

Funny thing is, it was such a short email about the weather this weekend that it probably took them longer to write the prompt with all the specifics than if they just wrote the single paragraph themselves.

This is why I hate how media tries to stir up ‘this generation vs that’, and I refuse to fall prey to it. I’m 40 and I have so much respect for younger generations trying to make it now. It’s still hard enough for me and I can’t imagine how much harder it is for them.

Also, even if I don’t get the stuff they’re into, that’s ok because the generations before me don’t get the stuff I’m into. People seem to get older and forget they were at one time considered the ‘lazy’ ones who liked ‘dumb’ stuff.

It may be legal, but it certainly ain’t ethical.

I guess I’m just a boring person, I have nothing really to say or share that is post worthy, but I try to contribute to discussions when I can.

The article says he thinks there wasn’t enough time for someone to complain, the restaurant staff was using it as an excuse.

I would assume the need for childcare means he has to work. So did he just like…not work? I have a remote job and there is no way I could also spend large amounts of time with my son during the day like this.

I don’t understand when someone who is creative in one field uses AI to generate something in another field. Like, how would Rush feel if some visual artist used AI to make crummy knock-off Rush songs with their own art?

Personally, if I see a full trash can I will keep my trash with me until I can find a place to dispose of it. I can’t imagine just throwing it on the ground regardless of the can situation.

Wow, I always have to go in and switch it to inverted, it just makes complete sense in my head (probably from years of playing X-wing as a kid) pulling back (towards me) will always be looking up!

We adopted a male cat who was a couple years old, he had no teeth and has stomach problems so he needs special food. He had already been adopted once and returned because of the issues and he got bullied out of his foster home by some other cats. Felt so sorry for him, he’s the sweetest boy and our other cat tolerates him ok (they have an older sister/younger brother dynamic), and she doesn’t usually like other cats.

The shelter staff made it sound like he was special needs but it’s literally just a slightly more expensive hard food. I guess after he was returned they wanted to make sure whoever adopted him knew what they were getting into. Love that little guy!

I don’t understand how these people have the time or energy to send all these letters and calls and stuff. Just reading through it is exhausting.

Also, they are right not to trust corporations, they do lie, they get so close and then just completely miss the mark.

I completely agree with your second line and despise it, but I have found my last several jobs on LinkedIn so it’s not totally worthless.
