Activists Who Spray-Painted Barclays Set to Be Sentenced As Terrorists
In the UK the state can deprive a person of their UK citizenship when they are labeled a terrorist by the state. Guess what will happen next to these people.

She’s a professional victim, it’s nothing but a grift. Also lol she looks nothing like those photos she posted. That’s like a completely different person.

KDE Plasma Bigscreen (Android TV alternative) is back from dead

Unlikely, Dolby tech support requires that the license for Vision or Atmos etc has been bought for that particular machine. Never seen a media player where the end user can buy the license separately.
edit: Also those Android boxes only support DV Profile 5, which is DV used for streaming, If you want to play a UHD BluRay rip in mkv format in the highest quality DV profile, Profile 7 with Full Enhancement Layers, you need to find a Oppo 203 or 205 or one of the clones. Those are basically the only players that can play UHD BD mkv with DV Profile 7 FEL.

You can blame the storage provider but ultimately it’s their fault. Anyone who takes archiving serious knows that you need at least 3 backups of your archive in different locations for cases like this.

Reminds me of how Roger Ebert opined that video games can never be art. And then one of the most used counter arguments was how much money video games make like movies.

So 5% is not shit, that’s still thousands of shows. It’s the same with western media though.

Lemmy is mostly the same as Reddit before the “normies” found Reddit. And Reddit was full of vile and toxic shut-ins already from the start. Lemmy isn’t any better. It’s just that Lemmy users mostly lean left and people gloss over toxicity from people they agree with

It started with branding. Like CD stands for CompactDisc which was a trademarked brand name using this logo.
Edit: I’m wrong. There is a patent for an optical disc that precedes CD and Laserdisc and uses the word Disc on the patent
That’s probably where disc started being used for optical storage. And disk remained being used for magnetic storage.

Anon is rude at work
"Doesn't talk unless spoken to " is fine if you don't want to talk about you private life but if it is work related you need to speak up when it's necessary. Otherwise some co-workers start taking credit for shit you've done. Not to mention if you don't build some rapport with co-workers good chance they don't recommend you for a promotion or a raise or something even if you do your job well. Not because they hate you or something just that they forgot what you do at work and it's your job to remind people of the work you've done and that only happens when you talk.
Also in large companies it's good to be in the loop of what's going on in the office, it's how you can sniff out an opportunity for a raise or promotion or know when to leave before the ship sinks. So socialize at least a bit at work, you can do that without talking much about your private life.
