Yeah, but now we miss out on playing a rushed mass effect game and getting to complain about it not measuring up for a couple weeks. Now I have to find something new to do in August 2027

New Kindles Don’t Come With a USB-C Charging Cable
Kinda annoying since it’s not like you’re paying less, but given how many surplus USB-C’s I have floating around I can’t say I really care. Of all the things to hate on the kindle for, this shouldn’t even be a thing.

But they’re at least much larger and better built - all the “new” containers you can buy in the use are built as one trip containers in China - sure they seem in good condition, but their longevity is suspect.

Exactly, they’ll just move money from subsidiaries into other entities and use creative accounting to reduce the payouts. Or in the US just sticking every penny into stock buybacks.

Cornell suspends fraternity parties, gives state police role in investigating campus assault reports
Reply in thread
Had a similar thing in the early 2000’s - an on campus frat got in trouble for serving minors and was forced to not have any parties for the next year. Basically just meant that they couldn’t have big weekend parties or anything really big with invitations on campus. They could still have folks over during the week and the quarterly parties were just at off campus venues

Zero ships from China are bound for California’s top ports. Officials haven’t seen that since the pandemic
And the fun part is that these inbound ships are how the US gets empty containers to be able to export goods to foreign clients and a lot of times the US companies only get paid (or start the clock to get paid) once cargo is loaded to a ship.

They pushed the Ohio fab back, so not cancelled, but originally when the canceled Germany, Oregon and Israel they claimed they were doing so to focus on Ohio. Then they delayed Ohio. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not further delayed or just canceled.

Russia arms missiles with uranium in Ukraine strikes — triggering radiation spikes near bombs sites
Didn’t the A-10 famously have depleted uranium tipped rounds to help with armor penetration? I mean fuck Russia, but this doesn’t really seem remarkable.
