Instagram's monthly subscription
They don’t want you to pay. They set the price artificially high to discourage you so they continue business as usual while complying to the laws. The price is a PITA charge to make it worth their while and to still profit from the ads they would have shown you.

PRO-PALESTINE NYU LAW STUDENT SPEAKS OUT AFTER JOB OFFER WAS RESCINDED
Well no shit. This person used their position in academia to spam out a newsletter of their political affiliation to the student body. The offer was rescinded because the law firm saw that they don’t know or follow proper etiquette in positions of supposedly unbiased positions. This person will likely not be proper legal counsel to individuals or companies they might not personally see eye to eye.

My elderly parents' car broke down a couple hundred miles away. How can I get them and their car home (or fixed) with a minimum of cost and hassle?
If it’s under warranty, then the manufacture will cover towing to the nearest dealer and if they are outside of the range, to the nearest qualified mechanic. Hard stop, call the warranty company and have them hash it out.

Hackers steal Signal, WhatsApp user data with fake Android chat app
Reply in thread
I suspect fear mongering as it likely DOES take screenshots and since it has the device infected, it grabs the time/position and other intelligence it can grab. I don’t believe for a second they actually hacked the Signal app itself.

Mobile homes could be a climate solution. So why don't they get more respect?
Mobile homes are made to lower standards. They have shit for insulation, the wood is thinner..all around, they are made cheaply. Manufactured housing though, has a good shot at being better for the environment because they can produce them with much less waste.

Who is the worst person you could cheat on you partner with?
The one that we made a sexy time video years ago that I have since forgotten that it was still in on my computer, that she found and it caused a big argument.

Microsoft put their tax-evasion in writing and now they owe $29 billion.
Just imagine, this ONE company out of the hundreds if not thousands pulling this same shit are brought into compliance (and by compliance, I mean what they ethically should be paying in taxes), then how much good we COULD be doing as a nation. I say that but also have no doubts that the elected officials will just use it as their personal piggy bank to fund their friends companies.

I can’t count how many NFL and NHLs I blocked. Right with you on this.

I typically have a 3 1/2 day work week. I get paid on what I produce. I COULD produce more and get paid more but after over a decade I have leaned that it’s not worth it. The more I make, the more we spend to cover the absence of not being able to live our own lives.

Trump's 'not acting so cocky anymore' as 'it’s all setting in for him now': anonymous insider
When you do the right thing, you don’t have to worry about people “flipping on you”…because we know that flipping means lying for you. Trump showed his cards too early in telling these people that he won’t financially support their legal fees. What did he expect?
