Growing up I heard this a lot and it's mostly use to silence those who have (well-founded) objections. Took me a while to realize that this leads to us following the stupid because they don't give in which subsequently makes the wise one the stupid one.

Da stimme ich dir uneingeschränkt zu. Was mich dennoch stört und worauf das MaiMai abzielt: es gibt so viele hassenswerte Milliardäre (bisschen redundant, ich weiß) aber gefühlt konzentriert sich das halbe Netz gerade dabei auf eine einzige Milliardärin, die gaaaaanz zufällig auch immer wieder Schlagzeilen macht, weil sie junge WählerInnen in den USA mobilisiert. Und gaaaaanz zufällig fingen die Jet MaiMais an wieder populär zu werden, als die Republikaner sich ein bisschen von ihr "bedrängt" gefühlt haben.

Ein bisschen Abwechslung fände ich da daher schon sinnvoll. Allein schon um nicht vor den republikanischen Propagandakarren gespannt zu werden.

Just this week I had to discuss with a rather aggressive delivery person who berated me (unprovoked and for a made up reason) until my partner came from another room. As soon as he had to discuss his issue with another man he started to believe the facts and stopped. Actually kinda glad this happened since my partner is also very biased regarding "everyday sexism" since it doesn't affect him and this was the first time he was able to see it first hand.
