"I think war crimes, genocide, killing children is bad, regardless of the reasoning, I believe in a universal standard of humanity for all"

"Some people disagree, myself included"

Absolute fucking vermin saying loud and clear on television, my respect for him not beating back her statement with profound derision went up, but there needs to be clarity on what these psychos are saying. What part of "don't do war crimes" do they specifically disagree with? What part of "all humans have rights" does she disagree with? Say it like it is, she's a bigoted Zionist.

Wah Wah

This is just ridiculous. I'm all for a bit of Riker meme but how in the giddy fuck is he supposed to swing his leg over the back of a chair like that? Unrealistic tripe.

How sentient? Like on a scale of zero to sentience? None. It is non-sentient, it is a promptable autocomplete that offers best predicted sentences. Left to itself it does nothing, has no motivations, intentions, "will", desire to survive/feed/duplicate etc. A houseplant has a higher sentience score.

I read the whole blog-style homepage; assuming it's genuine, this guy sounds like a hard working compsci grad trying to make his coursework a breakout product so there's a necessary element of monetization planning. I think it's fine to pay for a service, rather than free but monetise the data and push ads.

The space is a massive jumble of competing ideals and desires for the replacement right now. Fluxer looks optimistically promising based on the stated desire to be as much of a reverse-engineered open source clone as possible. If that's what the majority want - a simple drop-in replacement - then it'll succeed.
