Stop Killing Games - All 27 nations listed in their percent number (26-June-2025).
I think we gotta find ways to talk to non-English speaking influencers in the lagging countries here.

PewDiePie: I'm DONE with Google

He played PUBG at the height of popularity and yelled the n-word live on the famous bridge where people die all the time on the original map.
I'm probably missing more since that was a single outburst.

Team Fortress 2 is getting a major update after 8 years, with a little help from the community

That's kinda how Killing Floor 2 got updates except Tripwire used a third party to manage making popular Workshop uploads official for years.

Block US within Lemmy?
I use PieFed. Filter lists are one feature and here I am commenting on user/moderator QoL feature anemic Lemmy. I see absolutely nothing about US politics unless the title doesn't mention what I've blacklisted. Still cuts down on almost all of it except meme communities. I try to join meme communities not hosted on American centric instances instead.
A little bit is okay. I just don't want US centric posts to be the majority of what I see as a Canadian. It's not my country.
I use FreshRSS for news/international news and my mental health is better for it since I don't look at it constantly like my forums addiction.

Aux doesn't belong on smartphones anymore.
Bluetooth 5 is 50Mbit/s it's perfectly fine even more so past 5.4 for latency and 6.x. even better. So personally for me it's good enough now. The battery life on my WF Sony earbuds has been enough to not annoy me at all. So, it's better than a tangling cord.

Does anyone else use this way of taking notes?
Like OP used to I use Signal Note to Self. It's handy moving stuff from mobile to desktop and the reverse as well.
Joplin for long term stuff. Both are backed up to my NAS / password protected 7z archives to Cloud automated by said NAS.

What are your advices to cool homes without AC ?
Didn't say if you own the home or not, but if so:
Mind it's only hot for 2-4 months out of the year for me, so I have a winterized attic fan. Just means I'm not losing heat in the winter and paid a little more to buy it. You can just get a regular attic fan if it's never or rarely cold where you live.
You leave windows open, but now there's negative pressure from pushing air out the attic where a lot of the heat is trapped and sucking in air from outside even if there's no breeze. I leave the attic access hole open when it's running. The rare day I still use a Window A/C to sleep.

Alberta’s fanciful separatist movement was the big loser in Monday’s byelections
Reply in thread
Separatist movement is funded by USA Republicans and Russia to destabilize Canada.
Before the recent federal election the separatists were polling* at 19% which was only a couple single digit % difference more than other prairie provinces.

Why not use LibreOffice Calc instead?
Reply in thread
LibreOffice's drop down menus frequently have a delay after clicking them before anything happens. IMO not acceptable.
Edit: Even on Windows I meant to say.
