Rosie O’Donnell hits back calling Trump ‘King Joffrey with a tangerine spray tan’

From my perspective, he's still salty about her making fun of him back in the 90s on her daily TV talk show. He made it worse by not letting it go and taking out full page ads in the New York Times in response. She would then show the ads to the audience and read it on the air. Then she would make new jokes about what a giant man-baby he was.

That was enough to convince me, then, that Donald Trump was not a good person. That was about 25 years ago. I have not changed my mind about him. In fact, I dislike him much more now than I did then. It astounds me that anyone voted for that moron.

Elon Musk publicly supports call for US to exit NATO, UN

I get what you are saying, The kid is not the problem though. Describing the child as a "meat shield" is not a dig against the kid. It's about what Elon Musk, the child's father, is doing to him. Elon Musk is wearing his own son over his head to keep from getting shot when he goes outside. He is using his own child as a human shield. Elon Musk has turned his own flesh and blood into a meat shield!

Green Rule

I am of the opinion that closed-minded thinking is only part of the issue. The other part is there are well financed interst groups who work hard to create and encourage division in order to prevent regular folks from working together for a common cause.

The reason is simple: convince people to fight amongst themselves and they will be too busy to notice how much they are being ripped off by the tiny handful of rich people at the top.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin calls U.N. ‘transparently antisemitic’ after report on tech firms and Gaza

Genocide is not exclusive to Jewish victims. It is not anti-Semitic to say that.

Genocide can be committed by anyone. It is not anti-Semitic to say that.

Genocide is being committed by Israel's military against the people in Gaza. It is not anti-Semitic to say that... but it is sad.

It is even sadder that my government, instead of stopping them, continues to help Israel commit genocide.

How the hell is there not a Green Arrow video game?

Because Warner Brothers owns the rights to all DC games right now and nobody at Warner has any idea how to actually produce good video games. The Arkham games were good because they came out before loot boxes and online-only games were a thing. Now if a game doesn't earn a billion dollars in the first year, the game is considered a failure.

Tim Walz says he and Harris were too ‘safe’ during 2024 presidential campaign

If they had focused their campaign on helping the middle class, helping the poor, and acknowledged that Palestinians are people too, they would have a chance.

If they focused on environmental issues and the rights of individuals they would have had a chance.

If they had called Trump a criminal, because he is, at every stop, they would have had a chance.

If they did all of those things, and meant it, they would have won!

Instead they tried to appeal to business owners, Republicans who don't like Trump, and people with money. That's not what Democrats want. That's not who Democrats are. That, is why they lost.

Why left-leaners are in general against AI?

Can't speak for anyone else, but here are a few reasons I avoid Ai:

  • AI server farms consume a stupid amount of energy. Computers need energy, I get it, but Ai's need for energy is ridiculous.

  • Most of the implementations of Ai seem to be after little to no input from the people who will interact with it and often despite their objections.

  • The push for implementing Ai seems to be based on the idea that companies might be able to replace some of their workforce compounded with the fear of being left behind if they don't do it now.

  • The primary goal of any Ai system seems to be about collecting information about end users and creating a detailed profile. This information can then be bought and sold without the consent of the person being profiled.

  • Right now, these systems are really bad at what they do. I am happy to wait until most of those bugs are worked out.

To be clear, I absolutely want a robot assistant, but I do not want someone else to be in control of what it can or cannot do. If I am using it and giving it my trust, there cannot be any third parties trying to monetize that trust.
