Read theory

Sure, it might not work, but no sense not trying anyway. If you abandon trying to win via election, it will just give them more grounds to claim legitimacy. The last election was fishy, let's not given them elections that they win without cheating.

Mark Zuckerberg wants Meta to launch its own prediction market

Reply in thread

He has been for a while. He is always just trying to make his own version of something that is already popular, (metaverse when VRchat was already popular, established, and much more fun. Reels after tiktok because the big thing) or tries to buy the popular trend, (Instagram, whatsapp, he tried to buy snapchat at some point, but they declined) hell, facebook itself was just his take on Myspace. The man doesn't have original ideas.

Hoodie

Both. Pull over is just so comfy. I have a oversized pull over that is amazing for feeling comfy at home, partner's house, or running an errand. But zip up hoodies are so much more adaptable to changing weather and much easier to take on and off. So I have one of those too.

What sensory overload bugs you the most?

Honestly, sometimes lamps annoy me more then an over head light. Lamps are normal about eye level, so they shine directly into my eyes more often. Where as over head light it on the roof, were I don't normally look.

And then there is the issue of actually lighting the room well enough for me to see. Sometimes lamps aren't enough and I can't see what I am doing well enough. Building legos for example. It super hard to see what color piece I am being told to use when the lighting to too dim/far away/too warm. But my ND partner hate over head lights. So I suffer (hyperbolic)

Wendy's closes US restaurants and focuses on value to turn around falling sales

Not surprised. There prices are absurd at this point, and the quality of the food has been going down for years. I used to love there spicy chicken sandwich. But then the quality started to drop. At first it was just a bad sandwich every now and again, but the ratio of good sandwich and bad sandwich slowly got worse until I finally decided I had had enough. Haven't been back to Wendy's in about a year at this point. And their fires are decent when fresh, but quickly become worse as they get lose their freshness.

I never see them because they aren't legally allowed on the road.

People don't hate on other Tesla vehicles as much because there is plausible deniability of the being bought before Elon went mask off Nazi. The cyber truck was announced after he gave everyone good reason to not support him.

The design is not only ugly, it's also dangerous, hard to maintain and repair, (and I believe the repair work must be done by Tesla mechanics) , fragile, and very distinct. Other ugly cars are ugly yes, but they aren't nearly as eye catching as the mobile refrigerators.

Indian tech bros and white finance bros can be right wing too.

Yeah many right wingers hate electric vehicles. Which highlights why it was such a bad idea for Elon to be so openly a Nazi. He pissed off the people that want electric vehicles, and sided with people that hate them.

That anxiety and depression are just symptoms of deep problems, and not in and of themselves psychological conditions. It's cheaper and less work to just throw meds at the symptoms then it is to do the work to find why people are struggling with the anxiety and depression.

Many of the deeper issue causing them are from how are society works, and can't be changed or fixed easily, but I don't know, maybe if everyone realized that our society is hurting us this badly we could do something about it. But no, "here take these meds that will numb the pain and every emotion you have, now be a good little worker drone and get back to grind. It's not the society that's the issue, it just you... And everyone else that we are also giving these meds too."

I myself recently realized that the anxiety and depression I suffered from as a teen was caused by childhood trauma, being undiagnosed neurodigergent, and being Queer. All things society at large tries to ignore or out right hate. Any none of the mental health professionals tried to look into why I was struggling, they just gave me meds and sent me on my way.

That being said, if the meds are the only thing keeping you from ending it all, do what you got to do. Meds are a tool and tools should be used if they are helpful.
