Americans embrace Aldi as German discounter becomes fastest-growing supermarket in US

I’m a (spanish) boomer. I reported one of my bosses to my company health & safety comission because the bastard physically removed our chairs (I was a bank teller at that time). He was reprimanded, the chairs were put back in their places and the guy hated me deeply for the months we had to work together.

I was (still am) member of an union, btw. And that made a difference.

I have. It was a friend who already had two kids, didn’t want (or couldn’t raise) more. She arranged the procedure as soon as she found she was pregnant again. Went to the appointment, got the embryo removed and that was all.

And it was ok, it was her decision (supported by her partner by the way) and nobody should have a shit to say about that.

I was informin u, not askin permission

Where I live taking all your days is mandatory, by law. The company gets punished if you don’t, so the HR guys actually remind you to do it. There is a small flexibility (you can take part of your days in next year Q1) but you cannot swap your days for money, nor ‘give them’ to another employee.

Did I mention we have 25 workdays of paid vacation, by the way? ;)
