I now unplugged the white plug with the red/black cable as can be seen here (above and to the right of the CMOS battery), then put the RAM stick in, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in, reassembled - but the symptoms are still the same: no error message (some LEDs are supposed to blink in a certain way when it's incompatible), just high fan, dead screen, not even a cursor blinking.

Nachdem wir das, was seit Jahrzehnten selbst den dümmsten Machthabern 100% klar war, so gründlich verschissen haben, sind jetzt technischen Lösungen, die oft Feuer mit Feuer bekämpfen, Tür und Tor geöffnet.

Sowas ist übrigens schon öfter passiert, nicht zuletzt auch mit Trump selbst.

Und genau so oft hat Putin zu verstehen gegeben dass er weder die USA noch Trump respektiert sondern als Mittel zum Zweck ansieht. Als vorteilhaft, solang es eben vorteilhaft ist.

Ernste Sorgen macht's auch mir. V.a. wenn man dann noch China mit mitbetrachtet.

Kartierungsfahrten beginnen in Wochen, Genehmigungen fehlen noch.

Na die sind ja optimistisch.
Hoffentlich bleibt's bei fehlenden Genehmigungen - aber viel Hoffnung hab ich nicht. Es scheint unsere Politiker/Verwalter haben verlernt wie man sich informiert bevor man Entscheidungen trifft.

Fakt ist: Waymo hat einen Starttermin genannt, keine Genehmigung liegt vor. Die Sicherheitsstatistik stammt vollständig von Waymo selbst, eine unabhängige deutsche Bewertung fehlt bislang.

Mal gespannt ob D-land sich auch da ein Beispiel an den USA nimmt, d.h. man lässt Unternehmen solche Sicherheitsprüfungen selbst vornehmen.

Warum soll ich mich über einen solchen Schwachsinn (und ich meine eher die Leute die das als "Provokation" aufbauschen, inkl. dem SWR) aufregen?

Menschen machen saugefährliche Sachen + Kamera seit es Kameras gibt. Und davor halt ohne.

There’s this story that Mark Hammil tells about being on the set of Star Wars and he mentions to Harrison Ford that their hair should be wet, since it was just wet in the previous scene.

And Ford says something like, “This ain’t that kind of movie, kid. If the audience is talking about our hair, something has already gone wrong.”

The same goes for Reacher, even the books. They're great, easy and fun to read, but if you start thinking about it like that something has already gone wrong.

Even so, I have to say that the books concentrate more on him just being really tall without being thin. And trained both mentally and physically, but never just muscled.

Might sound like an empty phrase, but it's about playing, not about winning.

Another thing: how will they ever learn to play better if all you show them is how you lose? I've played against kids like that. It's sad to see how they cannot grasp that they aren't going to win this time. Worse: when they think that bending the rules* to their advantage is part of the game.

But there's a delicate balance, too. If the kid loses all the time they might lose the joy as well.

When I play with kids I always show them what good tactics look like but sometimes, when it isn't too obvious, I seem to "forget" things for one move. Never bend the rules* though. If we talk about rule-based games of course.

* probably much less possible with video games.
