I miss when politicians would forsake their morals and pretend to be good politicians so they'd get reelected. Now theyre just openly facist because trump gave them permission
the "curious" gives so much free thinker energy. they honestly believe, that they're deep thinkers, while they actually just make up shit and ignore most facts.
"Instead of reading this physics book - which I should've read in middle school - I will reinvent physics to my best knowledge. This is objectively better because I did it myself and didn't let Big Physics indoctrinate me."
"Oh and I will take advice, but it won't be from Big Science. I'm not stupid."
My parent is like this. Competent in some specific domains, but when you start to discuss politics or world news, suddenly it's all "how can you know what's real?"
They have a complete binary understanding of reality. Media literacy requires gathering lots of different perspectives on an event and filtering them through an understanding of each reporter's bias, and all they can manage is true/not true. anything beyond that sends them into a Gish gallop fear spiral
We are incredibly lucky, guys. Imagine mamdani was in our camp but was doing evil deeds like raping children. What would you do then? Admit that socialism is bad for children?
Obviously keep supporting him because he's on the right team, what else would anyone do? Judge someone by their actions? That would just lead to people gradually having an increasing pool of politicians that represent them and their interest, we can't be having that!
Funny but I feel like the intended meaning is that "something" is the same thing it both cases. Although I can't think of what they could have both done.
If that is the intended meaning then it is an even more moronic take. It is like that "If Trump cured cancer you would rather die of cancer than take the cure" thing which smoothbrains also like to regurgitate. Even if Trump somehow was not so stupid that he barely knows what cancer is, then he would never spend his time curing it, because he would still use all his time grifting and being petty. Other people don't exist in his universe and never has.
"If Trump did (completely fictional thing that will never happen even if there was an unlimited number of parallel universes) then you would still not like it". It is not even a strawman fallacy, it is something much stupider.
Yah it's like "person who doesn't care about others has said repeatedly they don't care about others, insults every decent thing you like, lies, rapes, undermines economic and ecological stability for personal gain, and 'jokes' about taking away your right to vote" and then they happen to do one nice thing and you still don't like them? Gosh I wonder why, like what would it take, maybe two nice things?
It's also demonstrably wrong. Lots of people took the vaccines developed under Trump, even if they hated Trump. Lots are happy the penny is discontinued.
If he does a good thing, fine. He's still a psychopathic child rapist, and most of his decisions are still absolutely shit.
to be fair trump is taking advantage of the situation in which his dimwitted followers have made, he has said republicans are easier to manipulate, and loves the poorly educated.
The pedophile has been on both sides depending on his agenda throughout his pathetic life. He's said things about presidents during his time that contradict everything he does now. The pile of shit is master manipulator.

I'm tired of facepalming. Options?
Things never go beyond curiosity for these people because theyre not interested in the details or facts
They have a tenuous relationship with the truth

GASP!! Why, the nerve of that guy!
MAGAT likes something: it is fact
MAGAT dislikes something: it's a conspiracy

(/s just in case I wasn't being blatant enough)
(Platner leaves chat)

They don't get it

These fuckers are projecting again.

Republicans are easy to manipulate.
Prime example:
The pedophile has been on both sides depending on his agenda throughout his pathetic life. He's said things about presidents during his time that contradict everything he does now. The pile of shit is master manipulator.
