It will be to do with that philosopher he's obsessed with Girard Rene... I imagine it's the same basic kick lots of the "Effective Altruist" pro-AI crowd are on. It goes something like:

  1. I must be good and ultimately do good in the long term.

  2. Therefore if I poison the water of 50 million people today to build an AI data center that cures cancer in 50 years time (saving hundreds of millions, possibly billions of people) - then I have done the right thing (by poisoning water today) and I'm good.

  3. So I can be as evil as I want, as long as I think my being evil will ultimately help humanity advance.

So, you need an ivory backscratcher and to buy another mansion to calm down? Nothing wrong with that because ultimately it will make you more productive so you'll build data centers faster ...or get the important politicians elected faster... Or sell overpriced rockets to NASA faster (it's okay I'm going to help even more future people solve even more problems with the money I'm stealing from NASA).

So really, "the people being the most evil, are actually the best people."

This is the fucked up double-speak, 2+2=5 "logic" they're using. Where you can destroy this world today because you're really good in a theoretical world. They've created a tech religion, and it's very very evil and destructive.

You see, it's not evil when i do it, because my intentions are pure and my goals are sacred.

The only moral genocide is my genocide.

If I kill one billionaire and distribute their wealth according to people's need, I will save a lot of people, maybe far more than curing cancer.

Prepare yourself Thiel

Luigi Mangione was a Longtermists.

Like, not joking. He was a disciple of Curtis Yarvin and a power user on LessWrong

Which, for a guy who knows about the antichrist, sounds eerily similar to: “I can burn your house down, because I love Jesus and he will forgive my sins”

They've created a tech religion

Given the impact on the planet, it's more a death techno-cult.

The interview is easy to find but it's a bit hard to follow what he means anyways. I thinks it's basically that "good>evil>incompetent(bad)".

An evil billionaire is a pos but it's better than an incompetent idealist.

My personal opinion is that it might be true, but so is the fact that you can turn a society full of evil billionaires into one of good millionaires at a rate of about 45 people a day, or at least that's the historical record.

I'd sooner fail than resort to the kinds of vile they do and say. Just unbelievably sickening these people are.

Or uncomfortably believable perhaps

this is basically Hitler, he too was trying to make a better world.

That thing where he's against democracy - also taken out of context! Let's all live with Peter Thiel so we always properly understand the context!

Hypothetical: He had a difficult childhood. Does that change your opinion about the things he's doing to all of us today?

Money should never equal power as fully as it does in the USA today.

And I am sure she affords this same patience for full context to all of manufactured outrage clips she hears on her conservative media.

I did not have Taylor Lorenz heel-turn on my 2026 bingo card, but I should have

Nah, something during COVID broke her brain. There’s a stark difference to her stuff before and after.

I was literally watching coverage of her criticizing that Palestinian activist for not wearing a mask, and it’s so much worse than I thought it was.

I cannot believe she went on a “here’s why I left the left” grift because people wouldn’t let her bully a Palestinian activist IN Palestine for not wearing a mask.

The level of unhinged is disturbing.

I'M BAD AND THAT'S GOOD! I WILL NEVER BE GOOD AND THAT'S NOT BAD! There's no one I'd rather be... than me!

Conveniently, all potential lives saved in the future count, but the potential family trees he definitely removed from existence and all their infinite descendants don't.

If you're being utilitarian, think about how many cancer patients you'd save per year vs how many kids are not born every year because of the poisoned water now. I don't think you'll come out ahead.

You reached the end
