After-credits scene in 28 Years Later: the rage virus doesn't really exist and the UK is just like that.

That's the solution. Just call it nobility porn instead of step sister porn, oi.

What kind of nanny state are they running in the UK now? Just surrender your freedom guys. It doesn"t end here.

They screwed the pooch pretty hard with Brexit, seems like they would have turned left.

But, I'm American, so we're in a worse boat, and I can't talk.

Not British but it I'm pretty sure Labour is in power right now which should be centre-left but the party has sort of bait-and-switched everyone into a right wing party

24

Labour has been kinda authoritarian for quite some time.

11

Woah, I can't believe that the party the jumped head first into Iraq with the US turned out to be complete shit the next time they had power

6

I lived in Britain during the period leading to and after the Leave Referendum and, IMHO, Brexit was the consequence of amongst other things a very strong strain of prejudice and delusions of grandeur in British (especially English) society, rather than the cause.

The ill adjusted to the XXI century society and power structures were what caused Brexit, not the other way around.

3

The UK is somewhere in between most of Europe and the US when it comes to moralism.

In most of Continental Europe "if you're not harming anybody, we don't care", but Britain's period of increasing moral openness just lasted 3 decades with only enough steam to make same sex marriage legal, and then stopped and turned weirdly transphobic. Further, the moralistic vein of their society never really stopped, it's just that for some limited domains (pretty much just homosexuality) it's unfashionable for the middle class to be openly moralistic, but just about any other sexual behavior which isn't common will get criticized even in newspapers, often by the very upper middle class people who call themselves "liberal" because they're non-judgemental about homosexuality.

Having live in Britain as well as in Northern and Southern Europe, British society stands out for be more judgemental, prejudiced and moralistic that even Southern Europe (which far less moralistic today than 4 decades ago and unlike Britain isn't ultra selective about the things it's non-judgemental about).

So...they continue releasing the same videos and only change the titles?

70
lemmy.world

Might have to edit out a few lines of dialog at the start, but that would improve it.

Ok. Im just gonna say it. These plots make no sense and seem to loose focus very easily. In this one this woman was very concerned that her pizza contain extra sausage and yet she did not even check if they got the pizaa toppings right at all. The box fell on the floor and no pizza even came out. I suspect their props department is to blame but again why isn't she upset about what happened to her pizza. It was a main plot point!

12

I get irritated about the ones where someone gets stuck in a dryer or a couch and they never resolve how they get free

10

I'm more worried about the women who called the plumber to come fix a leaky pipe. They never fixed the pipe.

5

That's what they already do. Not only the ‘incest’ titles get slapped on every second video for the simple reason that it costs nothing and gets that audience covered, but videos are uploaded with different titles too.

On the one hand, I'm really not a fan of the endless "step-*" porn. On the other, a law banning it is pretty heavy handed.

Step sibling is gross. The step parent stuff is really really gross

6
lemmy.world

It’s not real. They just put whatever title they think makes the best clickbait. Just like anything else.

12

Of course it's not real. But i still don't want to see it or have it suggested to me

1

So are beauty pagents and modern country music, doesn't mean banning them is somehow not a massive waste of time, resources, and taxpayer money.

7

Peers agreed by a majority of one to ban videos and images depicting relationships that would not be allowed in real life.

If they arent blood related stepsiblings then its not illegal is it? Strictly speaking even actual incest isnt illegal in most places if it doesnt lead to children or marriage. Still weird af of course, but not necessarily something that the government should get involved in unless its abusive.

56
lemmy.world

Is it actually illegal to have children under incest? In the UK or Europe in general.

4

I like the ‘Illegal only if it provokes public scandal’ category, it just has something to it

2
programming.dev

The content is said to "normalise the sexualisation of children, promote the idea that children consent, and fuel demand for real child abuse material"

So academia supports this? Oh we're just curtailing freedom on vibes again?

We can get back to the classics like pizza delivery boys giving extra sauage, plumbers cleaning out pipes, and porn stars... fucking.

I liked the pause at the end like we basically forgot what they're there for.

Official statement from PornHub:

"Its easier to just block the UK".

20

They'll just add alternative titles for the videos to be shown in the UK. Nothing else changes.

Unpopular opinion:

It's porn, it's escapist fantasy and like most porn, it touches on fringes. There is LOADS of popular porn out there that can only best be described as "rapey" and a lot of people (women included) are into it.

FFS, everyone and their mother knows incest is bad, we all know rape is bad and I honestly don't believe that anyone would watch an incest video and suddenly think "well I have a son/daughter too!"

It's a fantasy and with all fantasies, some like it, some don't. As long as fantasies stay fantasies , can we please just let people be human beings? Can we please stop being the thought police?

The teacher and student? Very illegal in the real world, that's why we have porn! The "I'm stuck under the bed!" porn is rape porn, hell, most porn can technically be explained as rape, and we all watch it.

The problem here is that anytime anyone speaks up, its immediately "oh so you like to rape your daughter!". No I don't, I just think that we should leave people be people and we should not censor all thoughts as certain people are trying to do here. I think people should be allowed to have sex fantasies in their heads about anyone, as long as those remain there.

Most people have no problem with this staying in their heads and I don't think we should outlaw porn just because rape happens in the real world, when porn is not the cause.

Do not think for a second that it will stop with this, they're just starting here because it's an easy target. Soon it will be "oh so you're one of those rapists that likes porn, huh?" and then all porn will be banned.

25

Is a teacher/student thing actually illegal if they're out of high-school and are adults? Like sure it'll get them fired, but illegal?

edit: And yes I am sure there are depictions of situations where it would be in porn, i was just curious if it was even an issue beyond that.

1

Wait. Step relatives sex is legal, but it's depiction is not? What about step relatives relationships in non porn media? There was a very popular comedy years ago and this was one of the ongoing subplots.

Edit: it seems it might be illegal in the UK. Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

20

I am still 100% convinced this whole trend was a self sustaining accident/idiocy.

There was probably an actual organic desire for this kind of content so it was made. Ime most of the content doesn't even try and make good on the title and it's just regular ass porn, so it ends up getting traction, cus porn. This leads to content creators making more of it since for the most part all you have to do is have like 2-3 throw away lines in the scene and a risque title so it's free to throw another genre label on there.

Now a feedback loop exists. More of the content is made because it gets bigger numbers so more content gets made.

All because it isn't really mutually exclusive with any other genre, you can slap it into basically anything for free and attract a wider audience. I suspect the actual amount of people searching for specifically incest-y content is really low n

Maybe this will finally bring back scripted employment based scenarios.

"Hello, I am here to fix your sink." "Oh, I looked on YouTube and it said the pipe needs to be replaced?" "Well, that's fine, I think I've got a pipe to insert right here." -bow chicka wow wowww-

19
workerONEreply
lemmy.world

The scripts are always really depressing though. The girl applying for a job is desperate for money, and the guy just exploits her situation. Mostly stuff like that. It's never "I'm having a great day and the only thing that could make it better is some dick"

26

This is the real plan.

No one wants to work anymore, how do we incentivise them? Better wages? Stop treating people like faceless cogs? I know, make porn suggesting people regularly get laid while working!

Plus, now that people are no longer convinced they will get laid for loafing around at home by their step family, they will want to go outside the house more!

6

old school...pizza delivery.

I never had anything like that happen when I delivered pizza.

4
lemmy.world

And yet the bible, a filthy book full of smut about nudist couples, prostitutes and much worse and more, is just allowed everywhere.

15

On one hand I support this to make porn more accessible to me. On the other hand it seems like a joke of a headline for the government to even care.

6
lemmy.today

What about porn about running from home to your auntie's house but they got a house rule, you gotta be naked the entire time. And well, you know you're welcome to shower with your uncle and play with his dong when he's working on the laptop on the couch. C'mon help yourself!

I used to play that and other shows loudly in the house. It was hilarious. But I got kids. LOL.

2

Didn't the government recently say that the won't ban cousin incest cos only 15% of births have birth defects? I might have forgot some info tho

6

The TERF-Island shows it once again, that TERFs aren't the "fun loving feminists" culture warriors wanted you to believe...

5

Ya know what? That kind of fantasy is often about exploiting the power dynamics of families to take advantage of a child. I will be thrilled to see less of it.

-4

What kind of society have we built, when not only porn is now the most banal thing ever, but the most popular fantasy is fucking your familly. I never got it, it's gross, disgusting, and symptomatic of a deeply sick world. I don't care about your "nanny state" takes, you're not ok if you dream about fucking the very person you should'nt. Get help.
