Is there any definable social group that they won't put at risk?

Don't underestimate the number of people who will intentionally skip meals to save for these, like iPhones, Gucci, LV...

People only care about invasions of privacy when it affects women, apparently.

And for some reason they'll get really upset when I point that out...

Every single aspect of our lives are being taken over by ethically bankrupt billionaires that will never in a million years face consequences.

It’s so exhausting that every single day the rich and powerful are infiltrating hobbies like gaming, tech, media, etc, and are actively making them all worse because there is no accountability whatsoever for these rich fucks and the people in positions of power who they bribe

Women and girls could be put at risk of harassment, stalking, and abuse if Meta presses ahead with plans to add AI facial recognition features to its smart glasses, leading charities have warned. Experts said the technology, which would allow wearers to identify people and find out information about them using the platform’s AI tool, could pose a “direct and serious” risk to survivors by placing them “in harm's way” and enabling abusers to locate and track them.

Everyone is at risk. I once saw screenshot from X of image of little girl with dog with comment asking "Grok, make them naked". I'm so glad I didn't see the Grok's reply. I wonder why some popular people are still on X. Meta smart glasses could probably make the same thing if they were jailbreaked. 10 years ago there was only scam ads of these products in newspapers. Now we live in dystopia where it is true.

I wonder why some popular people are still on X

Because their own need for attention is greater than the concern they may have about enabling chid pornography, the dissemination of conspiracy theories or and/or Nazi propaganda

This shit is horrifying for absolutely everyone, another reason im thankful I've kept my social media profile to a complete minimum.

The times, when it is easier to generate forbidden content than to film/create it, have finally come. Our world is so much cooked that some global disaster would be a God's mercy, not a punishment.

I gotta put little fake lenses on my glasses do I can ride the fad!...oh it's done. Boy that was quick! I gotta get all these stickers off my glasses before someone punches me in the face for having to correct my eyesight.

I'm not sure why these glasses get the hate for this. It'll be available with any camera hooked up to ai search tools.

First of all, fuck META and fuck spyware.

That being said, as someone with a neurological disorder that makes it difficult or impossible for me to recognize people, the benefits of a piece of software that could tell me someone name WHEN THEY HAVE ALREADY GIVEN IT TO ME would be so beneficial.

A lot of people don't realize how impossible it is to form attachments to people when I have to meet them a dozen times to remember that they exist.

My issue is with facial recognition, maybe I didn't do enough to clarify. Unless I'm misunderstanding, you have to put information into that but I don't have that information.

It's like a stranger walking up to you on the street and trying to interact with you. Not very comfortable. But then as they speak, you recognize their voice and their body language and you suddenly realize it's one of your good friends. The issue is that I would like to be able to realize that's my good friend when everyone else would normally be able to.
