There is nothing in the world like having two girls sucking your dick at the same time. Three would probably be a hassle to keep up with, never done that.
With three, physical positioning starts to get really inconvenient unless you're laying down, but then the view isn't as good. And unless you're packing like 9 inches, there's not a whole lot of open real estate anyway.
Have the computer render a fully accurate copy of myself, then circle my copy slowly, scrutinizing every flaw as they would be seen by others. This will surely be good for my mental health.
I'm sorry to hear that, I also long to hang out with my old college buddies from 20ish years ago under circumstances that no longer exist. Sigh Time is a bitch ain't it?
I can imagine all of the AI pron, VR porn, and 3D rendered/video game porn would all combine so you can get freaky with anyone, and give them any personality you want.
I would also think that any 3D Video game would be able to be made compatible with it, similar to VR.
Set it to humanity's highest point: 1999. Things will get very confusing when they try and break me from the Matrix only to find it we're in the holodeck.
Oh man, imagine the prank potential if you moved someone to a holodeck simulation of their own ship without them knowing it. Lower Decks ended too soon.
Assuming it will keep running indefinitely without maintenance or upkeep.
Go inside. Create a pseudo Renaissance era theme. (With modern medicine). Program it so my bank account in there won’t ever run out of money. Then never leave. Just keep exploring. Have the holo deck just keep reconfiguring itself to effectively allow me to explore large areas.
No, but seriously, are those things self cleaning or do you have to go all over the floor, walls, and ceiling after you're done with a black light and a mop..?
The third season of the show is some of the best Sci-Fi ever made. It slowly transforms from "Family Guy in Space" to "Wow this is some 'Measure of a Man' level shit".
But in all seriousness? A fully immersive, 100% realistic Dungeons and Dragons game with my friends. Exactly the same as we would run it at our table. We'd hop down to the replicators and holo-disguise generators and make ourselves up like our characters, and I'd just follow them around in a spooky mysterious robe and narrate the story.
That's it. I would run the best D&D game ever, the game of a lifetime, for my best friends.
Can I use to learn the technology of the Star Trek era? Steal all the patterns Invent unlimited energy, the safe teleportation not the crappy one from early ages, replicator technology, cancer cure, and medicine.
Well, it'd already have that, right? I think I'd use it to do stuff like build predictive models of things, to fine algorithmic solutions to complex problems, stuff like that. Seems fun. Maybe hook it up to the Internet and have it make some money so I could stop working and pay for the kids' college. Maybe use it to help with modelling for 3d printing and coming up with designs for different things.
It's be the most powerful computer on the planet, the options would be relatively limitless.
Honestly? The first thought that goes through my head is exactly how strong and responsive the force fields can get. IIRC they can do bullets, as well as the texture and movement of anything normal. So, probably some benchmark involving a bucket of paint I brought in. Start with the paint, then do weird things with the bucket.
Depends on what frame of mind I'm in. In a sufficiently devil-may-care mood, I might try and create a Moriarty. Or better, role play as one.
Or figure out how deeply it's possible to nest holodeck simulations before things get funky.
I could be a Q without any collateral damage. Torment Picard and Janeway. Get punched by Sisko. Roll it all back. Q's done the same.
Be a (male) Mary Sue in any TV show universe I've ever watched and not be judged for poor writing... Although O'Brien did appear to think he could discern sarcasm from the Enterprise computer from time to time.
And of course there's the thing that Riker, Barclay and LaForge, if not a good many of the rest of the crew almost certainly got up to in there... I'd be stupid to think I'd not try that at least once.
I would want to do so many things. I would want to do a ninja warrior type course, but with adjusted gravity or something. I'd make it into a gym with everything I need for my workout. That or maybe recreate a sports stadium and watch football from today, because I missed all of it? The possibilities are endless
There are a lot of good answers, probably some good simulators of things that already exist, programs people have made... I would test the ship's AI/learning capabilities, show it some old photos of my family and of memories past and see if it can recreate things like that. Since I don't have video of these people, I'd have to fine-tune their personalities and I'd have to remind myself I'd always be looking back — being that they aren't real people, I wouldn't be able to ask them about things they don't really know about or anything like that. It would be (more) interesting if we had input from a bunch of people who knew them, to sort of fill out the personality and try to remove biases.
But yeah, I think I'd start by showing it every photo I have of my childhood home and try to go back there, just to see it again.
And yeah, you can kinda/sorta do stuff like that now, there are programs... but that's my answer.
D&D adventure complete with magic. Assuming I have a holodeck im already living in space, but if we had the tech and were not in space then after D&D it would be a Star Trek bridge explorer campaign.
First thing that came to mind was just getting to say bye to my grandpa, who got sick and passed away before I had an opportunity to visit. I know it wouldn't really be him, but I think it would be good for me to be able to get that closure.
After that, I'd probably go do some of the crazy fun stuff other folks are suggesting.
Two chicks at the same time.
Hey, Peter, man! Check out channel 9!
There is nothing in the world like having two girls sucking your dick at the same time. Three would probably be a hassle to keep up with, never done that.

Read the manual.
This is the way.
Yeah, maybe run a safety calibration or clean the filters or something. Holodecks are dangerous.
Have the computer render a fully accurate copy of myself, then circle my copy slowly, scrutinizing every flaw as they would be seen by others. This will surely be good for my mental health.
Obviously.
Lazarus Long! I didn't know you were on Lemmy!
Ensure the safeties are enabled.
Disable safety protocols.
Then create a life or death scenario with an antagonist who is defined as being able to defeat me.
Man of culture
Depends entirely on whether or not it has an incognito mode.
Forcing Geordi to look holodeck CCTV will cause PTSD on him.
But maybe he's even into it.
::: spoiler spoiler :::
You don't live in a place called Reading Rainbow if you haven't seen some shit
It does not 😐
No matter, everyone's doing it. And probably sharing.
Relive a random fun night with my college friends in a bar from 2003 that no longer exists.
Miss you, old friends.
Is it the "random fun night", "college friends", "bar", or 2003 that no longer exists?
The bar. Friends are alive and well but I drifted apart after a few career moves in and out of my country.
Though technically based on our cells replicating and dying off the “us” from 20 years ago also no longer exist.
I see what side you land on for the ship of Theseus debate....
I'm sorry to hear that, I also long to hang out with my old college buddies from 20ish years ago under circumstances that no longer exist. Sigh Time is a bitch ain't it?
Well, your muscle, fat, bone, and nervous system cells are all the same. Those don't reproduce.
i'd be getting my dick mad wet

But porn would be there first.
I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I had a l holodeck I could hook that up, cause chicks dig a dude with a holodeck.
Set it to humanity's highest point: 1999. Things will get very confusing when they try and break me from the Matrix only to find it we're in the holodeck.
So like ... how private is a holodeck? If the answer is "very", I'm definitely going with sexual fantasies.
Look what happened to Barkley.
Live my fantasy of being a star trek captain.
And during my star trek fantasy, I'd visit the holodeck.
Oh man, imagine the prank potential if you moved someone to a holodeck simulation of their own ship without them knowing it. Lower Decks ended too soon.
Seven Seven of Nines
69 of Nine.
Sounds like photorealistic Minecraft. Which sounds cool.
...well, I was gonna say porn but I actually like your idea better.
Get your freak in with bearded Dwarven ladies.
“Gives ya something to hang on to”
everyone know, its going to be PORN.
Get out as fast as I can, considering how often stuff goes terribly wrong on one of those...
Finding out where all the fluids would be going after ending the program?
Oh we already know: biofilters.
I'd simulate being on the Enterprise with my space pals and doing fun stuff on the holodeck.
Check out artemis simulator, you can live in the future now
Wow. I'm in the middle of renovating a house, and I now I'm going to have to talk my partner into having a designated Bridge room somewhere...
After all the porny sex stuff?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Same
See if it will run Doom. Safety settings on, of course.
Then Bad Apple in full realism mode.
Your mom.
Lock the door from the inside
read the user manual
Ah, so that's why people keep getting themselves trapped in there.
No, but seriously, are those things self cleaning or do you have to go all over the floor, walls, and ceiling after you're done with a black light and a mop..?
Bang Margaret Thatcher.
With a hammer? On the head?
Right? RIGHT?!
Bang! Bang!
Maxwell's Silver hammer
Came down
Upon her head
With my dick wherever she’d let me put it.
I like that this is where Lemmy draws the line on fetishes and downvotes.
Honestly once they made it clear that holo-Thatcher was giving consent I thought they'd be redeemed in other's eyes.
I've always read she liked short, shallow, teasing thrusts to really get the juices flowing, THEN you go balls deep.
Science has gone too far
I'm going to go fuck myself. 😃
Also: your username cracks me up 🤣
Girls. Sorry but its true. At least at first.
But then once that gets boring, I guess I would create beautiful environments to walk around in.
Boring? What do you mean
They haven't figured out girlception.
Is it weird I’d ask it to put me in a ST:TNG episode?
Depends - which one?
Make me a lantern ghost
How painful would Cause and Effect be?
About 3.
Remember when Bortus had the holodeck addiction?
Kinda like that.
Do you mean Lt. Broccoli?
No, I mean Bortus
I had forgotten that series existed. I need to go back and finally watch it. Thanks for the reminder internet friend!
The third season of the show is some of the best Sci-Fi ever made. It slowly transforms from "Family Guy in Space" to "Wow this is some 'Measure of a Man' level shit".
I can tell you what colour of uniform I wouldn't wear!
No command for you then?
Redshirt (stock character)
In TOS only, that was the joke
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Doh!
And SNW now that I think about it but no worries, you’re totally right redshirt is a trope for a reason
Full Barklay
You never go full Barklay.
Riza simulation
Do you seek jamaharon?
Well I guess, Quark may get you some much more interesting stuff than that...
Bunny Island!!!
Well, it'll probably involve tentacles, I can tell you that much.
Insert funny porn joke.

Steal all the patternsInvent unlimited energy, the safe teleportation not the crappy one from early ages, replicator technology, cancer cure, and medicine.Simulate a holodeck.
Then simulate myself simulating a holodeck inside that holodeck.
Then...
Then comes the holodick.
Create a Westworld-type environment.
Fuck simulations of real-life environments, I’d run a fantasy RPG campaign.
Play DnD first-person
5 minutes with Seven of Nine
Sit in silence for 4 minutes 30 seconds?
Probably use the processing power for something else.
Like machine learning?
Well, it'd already have that, right? I think I'd use it to do stuff like build predictive models of things, to fine algorithmic solutions to complex problems, stuff like that. Seems fun. Set myself up as Spider-Man. Its what I wanted to do since I was 7. Then some weird sex stuff.
Why not both at the same time?
Depends on what frame of mind I'm in. In a sufficiently devil-may-care mood, I might try and create a Moriarty. Or better, role play as one.

This. I would really enjoy a p-e programme that scales up with me so it's always of utmost value and that's it.
There are a lot of good answers, probably some good simulators of things that already exist, programs people have made... Infinite downhill MTB track.
Computer, show me the warp core!
Find some way to jam the door so that no one can ever drag me out.
Used or new?
Install Doom.
See if I can hook it into SteamVR and launch Resonite in there.
Might need some virtual controllers to do menu button stuff, but that should be easy.
Sit on a nice quiet beach at sunset and listen to the waves with absolutely no other people around.
I think this the answer, although I would choose a mountain top.
Reese Witherspoon....
D&D adventure complete with magic. Assuming I have a holodeck im already living in space, but if we had the tech and were not in space then after D&D it would be a Star Trek bridge explorer campaign.
I dunno, I might go for Reese Withouterspoon myself.
Head to Lordran
Fly a P51 or an fw190. But not before I'm sure Riker has properly cleaned up after himself; I'm bringing luminol
Lol. Guys come on. It's the first thing everyone would do.
Yeah! We're gonna score! It's finally gonna happen. Yeah! Eh heheheheheh
Skyrim.
World domination fantasy
Have some fun with a bunch of Boimler clones.
Two chicks at the same time.
fire up Dark Souls
deactivate safety protocols
get some random Klingon from the streets as a commentator
broadcast livestream to Romulan territory
Aztec historical simulator.
Lure trump and all his Nazi cohorts into it, and disable escape. Let them live in their own fantasy hellscape and leave us alone
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDDzR2zSgsM
Boring perhaps but loads of experiences that are impractical IRL:
Run Resident Evil 2 on it
First thing? Definitely google what it is and why I have one.
