We changed the theme for movie nights. It's the most straightforward topic of all, fun movies. TBH things got a little dry with the "exceptionally original filmmaking" theme.
Earlier, I got some nominations from folks.
Now we just want to quality check them. It turns out that step is useful. https://submatrix.net/article/MatrixEvents/E5AuS8qARm

Edit: Update
Nomination is done. Now there is an "is it fun" thread to quality check some of the nominations. Your votes are appreciated.

I’ve been running movie nights for a while now, that a few different sites join.
For the prior two months we’ve been running the theme “Exceptionally original film making,” for films that pushed the boundaries in how films are made.
Well, it’s time for us to relax the snobbery a bit. The new theme is fun movies.
The way we typically do this is we get all the sites that are participating to nominate movies. They all go into a poll. We then watch the top ones every other Saturday. Or every Saturday if I can get someone to step up and help run it.
So, since we are in the nomination phase of this new theme, what movies are the most fun that people overlook?
