Ukraine sub: Comment removed even though it was generally liked and didn't violate any rules. Eventual ban for calling them out.

This may be a conspiracy theory, but it's just a bit of reasonable logic, and it has some probability of being potentially true. Is the Ukraine sub run as a military op? Ukraine has a pretty big stake obviously. It has military value to them to shape opinion. They would have the resources and man power to have a few people man some mod positions. It's almost irrational to think they wouldn't try that, and could probably succeed.

The problem though is if that's the case, they wouldn't see broad anti-war views as useful, even if it does present Russia's actions as a major blunder. But if your anti-war views are more universal that's not what they want for their manufactured consensus farm.

My view is speech on a relatively free-speech platform shouldn't be subject to the censorship that militaries would prefer to have. Our speech shouldn't be subject to military operations. If that is what's happening there then they need to not be moderators.

And what other explanation could there be for a Ukraine sub blocking comments that say that invasion is bad when the sub's only rule is "don't side with invaders"? Maybe they are so ban happy they don't even really read the comments and they are just shotgunning near random removals? Like my first screenshot shows, I was not the only comment to be removed. And there was nothing in that sub that was provocative or unsupportive of Ukraine. But a significant number of comments were removed anyway, not just mine.

Something about saying that both Russia and the US have shown us multiple times that people who invade usually end up with buyer's remorse is somehow a problem for them. It's a reasonable comment. But not the comment you want if your sub is a military op. Because sub is targetted at Americans (English speaking sub), and pointing out the miscalculated costs of war doesn't fit the operation.

I'm not saying who is right or wrong, but they clearly stated it was because your comment was "out of scope"

I am guessing here, but I think it's because your comment was about US/Iran, and that community is about Ukraine.

Your comment for those that want to see it:

Iran is going to go just as bad for the US. When will militaries learn?

Maybe when the mistake doesn't make military manufactures billions of dollars.
