I definitely remember those trips and cherish them. I didn't get to go until I was a bit older and those first few times were absolutely incredible. That's an incredibly cynical take tbh. Some people just want to share the things they loved with their kids. Reducing it down to "they just want to brag" just sounds very bitter.

Could look into Dacentec if you need more cheap servers. I use them for my stuff. YMMV since you're getting a hell of a lot more traffic than I am but they haven't blocked Cloudflare on mine yet so that's a plus. :)

Yeah they can turn that off but choose not to. Just saying. Company making the software hopes you'll leave it on and the business owners hope you'll pay their employees for them.

Steam refunds Destiny 2 players with over 2,000 hours of game time after Bungie’s game becomes unplayable in numerous countries

I've played fairly casually since Destiny 2 (I played the first game a lot more and the 2nd launched in a very sorry state). They should have ended the game with The Final Shape. This new stuff is dumb and I couldn't even give enough fucks to complete the new campaign which I always have done even playing causally. I think that was the final nail in the coffin.

This game never drew me into the grinding cycle because it wasn't worth the time. Grind for gear for hours... To what end? It's just min maxing. First game you could get broken special shit from the raids. Now? I don't have 4 hours to sit and do that for some random junk that's not really different from the other junk that usually drops.

This is so many people. It's astounding. So many people just seem completely overwhelmed at all times no matter where they are or what they're doing and cannot simply prepare for what comes next. I suspect a large part of it is they're just distracted on their phone like zombies.

This is how the Internet has always been imo. You're running into the same trolls we've been dealing with since we first got on the fucking Internet. Some people just cannot interact with others without being rude as fuck because they're jaded assholes. So what if you've seen the same thing 80 times? Move along if you don't care.

I feel for you. Being a computer nerd in general, I've had to deal with this antisocial behavior forever. You really wonder why they even bother to go to places like this if they hate other people so much. I think it's just because they want to lord over others because that's all they have.

i gotta ask... why so many plex over kodi users?

Reply in thread

Have you used Plex before? No they don't need to know anything. They sign up and you grant them access (or even just give them a user in your home and they just sign in by texting you a code). It is as easy or easier than signing into your typical streaming app. Just extremely easy. Jellyfin is great and I hope they keep going but they're not at the same level as Plex. I've been using Plex for nearly a decade now and I've tried out jellyfin a few times. I'll keep trying because I don't want to use Plex forever but I'm not going to pretend they're the same. Hopefully they will be eventually.
