I asked my doc about it (my mother always warned us to have in our mind when something comes up) but he said that this is not related and my symptoms wouldn't match as I am too young. He also stated that it especially has nothing to do with low back pain. Other than that, no chemicals, no radiation (we live in a area where this actually can be a problem so it is quite common to check for it and we never had any elevated levels) I'm not working in a high stress environment, no heavy lifting or something like that and I move quit regularly during the day

Yeah well my GP just shoved this aside and I didn't do any reasearch about it, because I try to avoid reading about symptoms etc. in order not to get 'biased', like interpeting too much or influencing my diagnosis (does this make sense?) but as you were asking about it it came back to my mind. Maybe I should check in with a specialist as I just now tried to find some information and it seems to fit really good, it even matches some minor other problems I had earlier (and my GP himself diagnosed me with)

My GPs response somehow made me feel like I was overreacting but with so many people reacting so differently, I'll try to take myself serious and get that checked out!

Biodiesel...der Mais hier wird einfach grob von oben bewässert. Klar könnte man Felder effizient (in Wurzel-/ Erdnähe, in sinnvollen Mengen, z.B. Tröpfchenbewässerung wie es trockenere Länder wie Spanien schon längst in der Landwirtschaft etabliert haben) bewässern...aber das Wasser kostet ja nichts. Die Verbrauchsmenge wird (meines Wissens) nicht mal erfasst und da es Grundwasser ist kostet es auch nicht pro Liter, sondern nur der Betrieb der Pumpe....hier laufen die Anlagen 24/7, das meiste verdunstet...

Allerdings war das ganze (laut Artikel darüber in der Zeit) schon zum Drehzeitpunkt genauso wenig okay wie heute, mit einer Minderjährigen so eine Szene zu drehen...

Außerdem: bei vielen Studien zu diesen Themen (Ökobilanz von Glas vs. Plastik und Co.) wird oft nicht berücksichtigt, dass bereits für die Produktion von Kunststoff Erdöl aufgewandt wird und dass es dann zudem nicht wie meist berechnet, zu 100% recycelt wird...das gibt es bei Kunststoff quasi nicht...wenn downcycling, oft aber auch problematisch, weil durch Beschichtungen, gemischte Kunststoffe und für das Recycling ungeeignete Verpackungen (die dann meist auch noch davon abhängig sind, dass der Konsument ne halbe Stunde ne Flasche auseinander pult, Deckel ab, Sticker/ Folie ab,...) kein Recycling möglich ist (zudem muss Plastikmüll, Wunder was, dafür auch erst gereinigt werden!) TetraPak ist z.B. gar nicht recycelbar, soweit ich weiß, weil wir die Anlagen nicht haben, um das wieder auseinander zu basteln...

Meine grüne Utopie: wir kriegen es hin, dieses unkaputtbare Glas aus der DDR wieder herzustellen, und stellen ne Vielfalt an leichteren Glasverpackungen her....Pfand drauf, Konsument spült frische Verunreinigung mit wenig Wasser vor wodurch der Wassereinsatz zum Spülen global gesehen gesenkt wird, Automat erkennt, ob sauber genug -> Pfand zurück (oder Etiketten, die sich perfekt ablösen lassen und ab in die Spülmaschine)

Those are great! There's even a new one out, called kuru toga dive. It rotates the tip the same way as this version but also keeps the lead a the same length by mechanically pushing it forward ever so slightly every time the pen is pushed onto the paper. I was gifted one and really like it - they cost a fortune though

Soooo...our microwave beeps for 5. annoying. unmutable. times. I don't always catch it before it does its first beep. Somehow, the first beep + the one beep I add by adding 30 seconds (did I mention that EVERY time you press a button, it beeps one time?) + the beep for stopping it + one beep for clearing the timer feels better than waiting for 5 beeps?

Gibt auch größere Schneckenkrägen im Handel, für größere Pflanzen, die bleiben dann einfach dran. Bei Kupferband - an nem 9V-Block- ist, soweit ich weiß, die Wirkung davon, dass man damit nen mini "Stromzaun" um die Pflanze zieht (ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob Kupfer allein wirklich was gegen Schnecken tut, aber kann man ja mal ausprobieren, so teuer ist so flaches breites Kupferband ja nicht)

Nice, really like this for animals and the environment. That being said, sadly, oatly is not gluten free...I wish they would choose an allergy friendly alternative
