Those of you who have a gift or a passion that doesn’t pay enough to be financially independent and have a job to pay the bills, what does it look like?

Yes open to open mike, and no sense in pursuing a Bachelor in order to make money from music. That would only be required if you want to apply to an orchestra position, and accept that the amount of people that studied music 6h per day over several years is much higher than you think.

There are many ways to make money out of music, and most don't pay the bills. Guess what most musicians do? Teach.

Remote workers report the highest well-being in study of 7,700 employees: while those who worked entirely onsite reported the lowest.

As the other reader says, the point of studies is to develop objective truth.

After one generation, this new objective truth starts getting ingrained in people's minds. That's usually because after one generation the people who held old beliefs are out of the scene and new young people who believe in obvious things come to be part of the scene.

That's how society changes over time. Not people changing their minds, but new people with a different way of seeing the same things.

'A floating prison' - sailors describe life on warships like USS Abraham Lincoln

Bombing the shit out of a land that was minding their own business make white people sad. More news at 9, when we'll show how to make water wet.

Seriously, first, get the fuck out of there and go harass your own civil population.

Second, how hard is it to get a ship to bring 10 pallets of food, water and a couple engineers to fix the plumbing and whatever is broken? Duh it's a war zone then get a freaking war logistics ship. You must have at least one right?

Third, stop acting like world police and go police yourself. Or no one, if that was even possible.

Art of the deal

Is this how Twitter works now? Someone writes something useful in a decent place, then the first shill summarises, and the second shrill summarises the summary without even making it shorter? It's like going to YouTube to see a reaction video of a reaction video 🤯🤯🤯 but at least there I know it's actual people because AI can't properly fake videos.

Enter the chat: me

Once upon a time I had to fire a contractor because we ran out of money. Fast forward 6 months, we're hiring and he's relatively happy at new job. Yada yada we convince him to apply again, and me being hiring manager I basically hire him on the spot.

But hr needed a reference. He asks me if I can be his reference. I ask hr if I can be his reference. They say yes, so there goes me, filling a form that I'll have to read and sign 2 days later.

Kurgesatz was really good before they started the black mirror season, where every video is about how humanity can get killed by various things.

Never heard of the other ones but I'll give it a try.

And there's a PBS video for anything you can think about, sometimes they just don't surface properly with search.
