He was an American right wing grifter. He was popular for inflammatory half baked rhetoric with a penchant for racism and a sprinkle of trans/homophobia. He supported political violence when it was his tribe doing the violence.

Trump announced his death and the House of Representatives had a moment of silence and prayer over it so you know he was one of the more respected assholes in their club.We also dropped our flags to half mast for what was effectively a social media influencer with no decency or qualifications.

There was a school shooting today. 3 kids are dead. Our media doesn't care. Nepal seems to be having a BBQ at their parliament building and the talking heads keep whining about Kirk.

This is the most relevant he will ever be and tomorrow it will be over(hopefully).

This comment is a breath of fresh air in this doomer echo chamber. Somewhere along the line people stopped wanting to fix things and now the people we need to save this country are leaving in droves. We need to remain positive and organized.

Why IS dating rule for guys

Ask someone out for coffee. Talk about your week. Ask about theirs. Don't treat the interaction as a pass/fail. Repeat. If you have mutual attraction then nature will play out.

Doing the bare minimum hygiene and the appearance of happiness drastically improves your chances.

Dating is for finding someone you enjoy being around. Sex is a result of growing closer.

Obviously some people have it easier than others but I have peers that just refuse to ask people out for coffee or a lunch. I'm a late millennial if that matters.

Be a decent person and if a love interest doesn't personally find you attractive they WILL tell their friends. NEVER talk poorly about your previous relationships. Learn a few jokes.

The privatization of love is a real problem but the classic approach isn't dead.

Society requires regulation to reduce feedback loops. Everyone always assumes things can only be allowed or disallowed but there is a medium where the barriers to entry reduce the risk to bystanders while preserving liberty. See drivers licence, chemical aquisition background checks, etc.

Namibia loses bid to overturn ban on rhino horn trade

I know this is uplifting news but that picture raises my bile. I would rather see those thieves impaled on that horn.

Edit: In case it's not obvious, I didn't read the article before commenting. I saw the image and was unhappy with how it made me feel so I didn't read the article at that time. If you read the article the context is this is dehorning to reduce the incidence of poaching. Still the image is distressing if you don't have the context.

To be fair the regulations on vehicle length and older infrastructure makes the cabover popular.

American style trucks(long nose) get better mileage on longer hauls than the blunt nose design. They also provide more cabin room. As a final note American audiences are conditioned for the long nose design and it's difficult to find the imports here.

Having driven both I think they both have merit. In Europe an American truck would be impossible to maneuver in towns.

So that's the "real reason for it".

Or in 2025. Looking at you, Florida.

The sled dog team led by Balto didn't deliver vaccines. The vaccine for Diphtheria didn't exist in 1925.

They delivered diphtheria antitoxin serum which was the only treatment at the time.

The image has a good sentiment though. The Florida change is just more undermining of public schools to push private charter school enrollment. These bozos in our government voted in vouchers to directly subsidize the businesses they themselves are invested in.
