Nintendo Switch emulator, Yuzu, developers settling lawsuit from Nintendo with $2.4M payout, handing over its domains, and agreeing "Yuzu [is] primarily designed to circumvent [DRM]".

I own a launch era Switch. When I run Yuzu, I use the keys that I pulled off of it. When I play games in Yuzu, they are games I have purchased and dumped using the Switch Nintendo sold me. The controller I use is a Nintendo Pro controller. I play on my computer because it is MUCH better at playing Switch games than my overclocked Switch is. Just fuck off with this Nintendo, stop making your games worse.

You can do it

When I sell my 5 year old flagship phone I'll get $30 more easily if I have the box and the stuff that came in it. People see that and subconsciously think "this person has their shit together. buying their used phone isn't a risk."

Same goes for other stuff, too. I recently sold a synthesizer for $150 over the market rate because I had the box, manual (even though it was out of date due to firmware updates) and the stickers that came with it.

I like semi up-to-the-minute tech, so keeping things in good shape and giving someone the unboxing experience keeps my costs down at the cost of a little space in my closet.

Go Your Own Way

I feel like Go Your Own Way is more of a breakup song than it is a diss track. It's about how he loves her but knows they want different things.

Still BRUTAL to have Nicks doing the backups on the line that is very obviously specifically about her.

Telltale Games has reportedly laid off most of their staff

Reply in thread

They did. Telltale Incorporated folded in 2018. In 2019 LCG Entertainment bought the Telltale name, licensed their content and said, "We are Telltale Games now. We are going to do what Telltale was doing because that's what we are: Telltale Games. But not that other Telltale that owes that money to people, that's a different company."

Feral children are everywhere

Reply in thread

A few weeks ago my wife and I were getting breakfast at a local bakery. Inside, a dad had decided that it did not matter that his small child was running around, screaming at the top of his lungs. The little gremlin started trying to steal pastries off other people's tables and dad stiff didn't do anything until the staff announced loudly that all unattended children would be reported to CPS.

That kid didn't need a beating, but that dad sure did.
