And then they get put on the deployment belt and run through all the checking steps in a satisfyingly rigid way. And then you're done with them and you don't have to think about them ever again. It's the perfect cycle.

That's exactly the thing. They call themselves PoCs, but most of the time the exploit chain that they "prove" relies on some extremely unrealistic condition, like the intruder already having elevated privileges. Or it's just completely made up and the PoC only "works" because the AI changed the source code. It's incredibly unreliable.

It is kinda funny to hear the manager say "Brotli" as if it were some cursed ancient artefact tho. I'm down to not tell the managers that this is overblown bs. Let them think that we saved the system from certain doom.

I just learned about WebXR so yesterday I set up a new Angular project to build a VR game in (it's Angular because I couldn't figure out how to use the a-frame libraries custom html tags in React/JSX).

Using Javascript for calculating how 3d objects interact doesn't feel too bad, but there is something uniquely cursed about defining those objects in plain ol HTML.

My hope was that I could just plug the frame into my dock and use it as a little standalone desktop with monitor and mouse/keyboard. I've been fiddling with a bit of VR game development these past few days and thought that it might be neat to write code right inside the Frames desktop (my usual IDE runs totally fine in there) so that it's instantly accessible and I don't need to upload or stream my code to the headset.
It's not much of a problem to do that of course, but if it did work completely standalone it would be such a cool and simple way to let people try programming. I sometimes supervise student interns at work and making a little VR thing would be a super interesting task for them.
