I saw a discussion aboht lemmy in the comments section of the Financial Times, of all places. The FY was reporting on the reddit drama, in the comments the consensus was that the Lemmyverse, while janky, had an authenticity ane charm that reddit had lost a long time ago.

I concur with that sentiment.

Apparently there is a lot more to it than that? The mod author was allegedly creeping on younger women, there are audio files of this on the reddit skyrimmods post about this.

I cant be arsed with drama, dont know or interact with anyone involved, haven't listened to the audio files posted as 'evidence', nor do i use rhe mod... Only posting here so that a fuller picture is provided.

All that said, if the allegations are true, and the mod author is trying to use actual issues like transphobia and homophobia to cover his own shittiness, then i'd say some Internet pitchforks are more than warranted.

Mods are less to do with your level as a player, more to do with how you want to change the game? I.e. Do you want it to be more balanced, do you want a better and more immersive RPG experience, do you want combat and gameplay like Assassin's Creed or Sekiro or Elden Ring, do you want it to be slightly more sexualised or a fully featured adult / sex modded game, do you want next gen graphics, do you want bugfixes and quality of life stuff, etc etc.

So what would you like, as a starting point?
