Brazil shocked to find that 13,000 students about to graduate from medical school lack basic knowledge to practice medicine

It’s no surprise that federal public universities have received the highest marks; they are universally recognized as the best. But the evaluation of medical programs has also revealed that tuition fees can be inversely proportional to the quality of the education being offered. Medicine schools that scored the lowest (1 or 2 on a scale of 1-5) charge each student between $1,100 and $2,600 a month, according to a detailed analysis by Veja magazine. This is veritable fortune in a country where the minimum wage is $313 a month.

How can you charge so much compared to their minimum wage and still be so bad?

Sorry, I thought it fit the theme quite clearly as it shows how a car centric infrastructure hurts us all, including animals. That huge parking lot could have been housing, or a park, or perhaps a big ass tub for them to swim in. (ps: I'm not saying they should be locked up in the first place, as the sea is right over there where they could roam freely though)

Shower thought: Rather than traffic speed signs telling drivers how fast they are going, they should post what the consequence is for their current speed.

You need to design your streets appropriately and the speed limit will be followed. If you design stroads like a race track, people will speed on it like a race track

If your streets are narrower, has curves, chicanes and trees, it naturally forces drivers to reduce speed without needing speed bumps / radars / giant speed signs (the faster you go, bigger signage is required)

Six months into congestion pricing, more cars are off the road, report says

That's a common misconception about congestion price in NY. The poor wasn't driving to Manhattan in the first place, they represented only 2%, and the money generated by congestion pricing will be reinvested back into public transport.

Climate Town did a great video on this subject, with more details if you are interested:

What's really bad for the poor is car centric design, where you are forced to have a car and spend, on average, $12k annually to maintain it
