No man's sky had a bit over 200k peak online players on release in 2016. Over 100k peak for the anniversary release in 2025 and constantly gets 10k players even now.

Cyberpunk got 274k peak online players for the release of 2.0 3 years after the original release and 60k daily players even now.

Those are great numbers for single player games so I don't know what you're on about.

Japan tried to build an operating system for the entire world, then the US government intervened

Because it's pedantry. Check every dictionary for america or american. Or just type "america" on whatever search engine. First thing is always the US or its citizens. If anyone ever means to refer to the continent they usually say north/south America or "the Americas".

Go to any country other than the US and ask a local "Are you american?". They're all gonna say the same thing. "No, I'm Mexican/Canadian/Chilean/etc."

Whenever a word has multiple meanings, you're supposed to use context to figure out which one is being used. Well, the article title mentions the US government. It's also a very common phrase with a well established meaning. Check out Green day's american idiot, for example.

Really doesn't take a genius to understand what op meant.

What tv show has the best theme song?

Surprised nobody's mentioned Firefly yet. It's really good.

Also Pokemon , duh!

Dexter's is also really good. The video too, not just the song. Fitting and eerie and also makes me hungry every time.

True blood also fun and catchy

Also really enjoy Halt and catch fire for that 80s synth vibe.

Also, peaky blinders! Nick cave's voice is just...yeah xD

Stranger things? Cheers? Friends? Community? Lots of pretty good ones out there. Hard to choose, really.

Hmm.. it's not bad, but it's definitely overrated so don't feel like you're missing out on much. As for what it's actually like.. physically, most of the feeling is around the entrance and it's obviously tighter so that part is cool. Plus it's a bit of a taboo thing still so that makes it hotter, and in my experience women are usually surprised by how enjoyable it can be and I'm a big fan of women enjoying themselves so that makes it fun for me too.

Hot Take: most modern games are designed to purely kill time

Kingdom come deliverance 2, clair obscur, silksong, split fiction, citizen sleeper 2, ball x pit, blue prince, dispatch, hades 2, silent hill f, escape from duckov, outer worlds 2...

And that's only last year and only the games I've played. I don't have the time or the energy to try all the games that I want to... But sure, focus only on the bad stuff..

Remember this was movie + snacks + dinner + 3 books + drive home. That's 100€ at the low end, most likely 150-200 from a kid with no job. All for something that wasn't even a date. Call us whatever you want for finding it unusual, but yes, it is unusual.

REANIMAL releases DRMFree on GoG [Steam: Steam Deck Playable, Mostly Negative reviews] [80/100 on Metacritic]

Reply in thread

I’m really disappointed. I preordered REANIMAL to play it with a friend, but PC players don’t get a Friend Pass — while PS5 and Switch 2 do. My friend can’t afford the game right now, so because of this decision we literally can’t enjoy it together. This isn’t a technical issue. You had time to implement it and already did so on other platforms. Locking PC players out just feels greedy and unfair, especially for a co-op game. I supported the game early and now feel punished for it. This kind of move kills trust and seriously ruins the experience.

Many negative reviews seem to be about the friend pass not being available

it's not actually like email

Reminds me of this. There's a couple of roma towns/neighborhoods in Romania that look even more ridiculous. They're competing with each other to have the tallest house with the most number of little tower thingies or something because I've passed through there a couple of years ago and it seems to be getting more and more out of hand.
