Couples race to move frozen embryos out of Alabama after court defines them as children

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implantation_(embryology)#Implantation_failure

Reproduction in humans is not very efficient. Only around 30% of natural conceptions result in successful pregnancies. Of the failed pregnancies around 85% are due to implantation failure.

Seems like it's extremely normal for a fertilized egg to fail to implant and be flushed out during your next period.

Does my arm take long term damage if it falls asleep every third night?

Not a doctor, but I do suffer from thoracic outlet syndrome. Numbness after sleeping or while using a phone was one of the only symptoms I got before my blood clots.

Sometimes this would be the full arm and sometimes just in the ulnar nerve (outside of palms and pinkie + ring finger).

Maybe try doing the roos stress test at home and talking to a doctor if you get symptoms. If left untreated you may end up with permanent venous and/or nervous system damage (like me).

Obviously this isn't the only thing that can cause numbness in your arms after sleeping. I'm just spreading the word on TOS because it's what I'm familiar with, and because I wish someone had done so for me years ago!

See: Webview2

Unfortunately, it is extremely painful to work with😔 Enjoy rolling your own script versioning and update systems instead of using squirrel et al

Edit: I think Tauri works by targeting this and webkitgtk via their wrapper library, unfortunately I can't get my coworkers to write rust

Kinda yeah. WebView2 is edge (chromium) based and definitely is not uninstalled by uninstalling edge. But it won't have the browser chrome or the MS Account association (for now, we all know it's possible for ms to make things worse 💀)

Who is here?

I can only speak from my experience (USA based), but:

You can get access to drugs you may or may not wish to use.

Any new life insurance plan's premiums will go up as soon as you get prescribed those meds.

You will probably go through a period of post diagnosis regression as you reevaluate unhealthy coping mechanisms you've developed. Even if you think you already accept your brain for its difficulties and quirks.

You might spend a couple months being really annoying about your diagnosis as you figure out how to incorporate it into your identity. This lines up with a lot of the post diagnosis regression.

On the far side, you might end up redeveloping new coping strategies that are slightly less shame driven. But the demands of the world around you probably won't flex around your new diagnosis.

TBH if you're old enough to be on here you probably already know how to manage your environment and needs to live in the world, it's just a question of if you can actually acknowledge you have special needs and if you're capable of being kind to yourself while addressing them. And a diagnosis does help with quelling the anxiety around "do I actually have special needs or is everybody like this"
