With Valve pumping all that development money and effort into proton, I will finally be able to go full Linux before Windows 10 ends it's life. I only needed it for gaming, but those days are finally gone! Thanks Valve! ^_^

It's funny, I was thinking the opposite. Lol. The design reminds me of the Dreamcast controller. I remember the first time I held a Dreamcast controller and how insanely comfortable it felt compared to NES, SNES, Genesis, N64 and Playstation. Granted, modern PlayStation and XBox controllers are also much more comfortable than all of those too, so the Dreamcast one might be uncomfortable by modern standards, but I don't know since I haven't held one in 25 years.

I'm hoping this new Steam Controller is as comfortable as I remember the Dreamcast controller being.

Sadly, Chester grew up being horribly abused and then using a lot of drugs. He was super close with Chris Cornell, who had also killed himself some months prior to Chester. KDE for sure. The modern versions look exactly like how I want a desktop environment to look out of the box, and they keep the full range of customizability that a desktop should, IMO, allow it's users to have. Which is something Windows just kept slowly getting rid of over the years.

I also prefer to have a taskbar that is ever present with a traditional start menu that's cleanly organized by category rather than the current full screen pop up "activities" search thing gnome does nowadays.

Fun fact: that speech was a first draft. The writer made himself a note to revise it, but got busy enough with other stuff that he forgot. I don't think that's the case here. This is an old webcomic that has been offline for many years called Pictures for Sad Children according to OP and Wikipedia. When I do a general image search for it, virtually none of the images I see appear to have a byline (except for one that appears to be a book cover), so it's looking like the original author published the individual comics without one.

It's his inaugural album and there's never been anything quite like it. Even his follow up albums, with his unique sound, feel a bit different than this one (not in a bad way, but I don't think they meet your unicorn criteria).

As someone who has had to deal with comparing text output via automated tests, this thread hurts. I hate Em Dashes and whoever invented them with a burning passion. They make text comparison a nightmare.

Why not just make the hyphen longer instead so people can just type it, like they do with every other character? Nope, instead, let's invent a different character that can only be typed if you know the Unicode ID.

Even worse is the fact that there are also En Dashes. Because we definitely needed both and couldn't just type multiple consecutive hyphens to make the line longer...

The worst part is that if you are writing physically, and you're not a robot, there is no way to distinguish between these at all; they are all just hyphens.

You might think your apps aren't worth sharing, but I think most tabletop GMs are constantly looking for the perfect set of tools for their purposes and I bet yours would probably be just what some people need! I mostly end up just using Obsidian and keeping notes in markdown files, but I know some people want/use a lot of other tools.

Wow, that sounds rough. I was definitely unaware there was one being made at all... Reworded DND rules sounds really rough too. This feels like a classic case of "it's best not to start a Kickstarter unless you are already mostly done with the core part of the project that doesn't take as much time and money". I.E. having the actual rules in a testable state so the Kickstarter money goes to paying graphic designers, editors, licensing, manufacturing, etc... :/

Well, I hope someone on the project pulls it together and gets something done for the fans out there.

I didn't know it was about Crystal meth for a really long time because I only heard it on the radio for many many years and they only played a clean version where the phrase "Crystal Meth" is cut out in a way that's not really obvious it was edited so I just never understood the lyrics.
