The INEVITABLE CONSEQUENCE of WOMEN VOTING

Reply in thread

It’s about the breakdown in traditional gender roles. In a “traditional” marriage the man goes to work and the woman does household stuff.

Put another way a traditional western household needs both a man and a woman, and it actively doesn’t work if you don’t have both because a woman would not have been able to go to work and make any sort of reasonable wage capable of taking care of a household and a man would not have been able to respectably take care of a household. Victorians would not have considered two men or two women living with each other a household or a marriage because part of their definition of a marriage, men, and women are their social roles.

Gay/lesbian marriage only makes sense in a world where some semblance of gender equality exists and these kinds of social roles aren’t so gender exclusive. The original comic is fearmongering the possibility of a more equal social order where it’s even possible to consider women being able to become enough like men that they could marry other women.

When Windows users find the Threadiverse

Most people are also just not going to bother changing their OS lol. Most steam deck users are using Linux and most PC users are using windows.

I think it's like why people don't change the engine in their car, sure you could could get a better one but most people are happy with their engine and don't want to mess with it

Microsoft announces sweeping Windows changes - but no apologies

I think it’s because laptop vendors are threatened by the MacBook Neo, which is the first serious threat to PC sales for non tech people who buy the shitty $300 laptops at Best Buy since Chromebooks, which is the majority of the market. Bad press about Windows absolutely will convince people to get one instead of a windows laptop

Linux could also be a genuine threat if someone like Valve comes out with a Linux laptop for gamers or a major vendors starts preinstalling like Ubuntu or Fedora on consumer oriented laptops but I doubt any major vendors would unless they have a serious falling out with MS
