Did not play PoE1 a lot, but I have like 500 hours in PoE2 and I love some of the mechanics (souls-y combat, skills and supports, visual style …). It took me a while to realize the fact that it’s basically a medieval fantasy themed casino, and that just made me not wanna play anymore. Just couldn’t believe the amount of gambling as you even just approach endgame.

I tried getting into Pathfinder but the constant buffing is just too tedious and it only gets worse as the game progresses, like way worse.

Honestly, calling everyone a nazi just feeds into the right's narrative of "oh they call everyone a nazi, ignore them".

I'm not defending anyone, especially not J.K. Rowling, but this isn't helping our cause, quite the contrary actually.

Yeah I just checked, the game I tried was Pathfinder:Kingmaker and that is indeed the 1st edition.

Sadly all Owlcat Pathfinder games use the 1st edition, but if I ever get the chance I'll revisit Pathfinder, now that I know 2nd edition is indeed worth trying, thanks for the heads up!

It's understandable that you had issues and I have quite a few gripes with it as well, but I never had any of the severe ones you mentioned.

I use it for backend development (Go and C#) and Game dev. I've used Linux for a long time, Apple silicon is what made me curious enough to try a macbook for work purposes and I'm generally happy with it after 4 years of heavy usage. Windows I use exclusively for gaming but that's going to change very soon.

It's fine if you don't like it but calling it a "non-computer" is dumb, and that's what my original comment was meant to convey.

Shitting on macOS like that is completely unjustified.
