Give permission. Don't give permission. They know where you are anyway
All HTTP requests include your ip address, you don't "consent" to giving it to anybody. You can geolocate somebody based on ip address but it won't be very accurate

The issue is that AI never says no or tells you that your question is not valid

How do they know which is which?
When we had our broadband installed the guy doing it took way too long and got very frustrated and made a mess of it, but it worked. Two days later it stopped working.
When the fault engineer came and fixed it, turned out the original engineer had connected us to the wrong cable, so when another engineer came to set up our neighbour's Internet, they disconnected ours.

AI isn’t ready to replace human coders for debugging, researchers say
As a very experienced python developer, I have tried using chatgpt for debugging and vibe coding multiple times and you just end up going in circles and never get to a working solution. It ends up being a lot faster just to do it yourself

Moon mining is getting closer to reality: Why we need global rules for extracting space resources
What exactly are they going to mine? I'n "A City On Mars" (Kelly and ZACH Weinersmith) they claim "one estimate suggests it takes 150 tons of regoluth to produce a single gram of helium-3". How is that useful?
There are lots of claims online about how abundant Helium-3 is on the moon but they all gloss over the specifics.

What projects does the opensource world lack
A printer or printer firmware. There was a discussion about this elsewhere on lemmy, of course this would be difficult and expensive but it would be very cool

What was the last truly innovative thing you witnessed?
The Internet has changed almost every aspect of daily life, I don't see why you don't think it is as innovative as the invention of the car.

What product price raise have you really noticed with cost of living going up?
Literally everything. Leaving supermarket with a basket full of food and you've spent £80. Co-op's oat milk was 85p when I started buying it, now it's £1.60

Anyone relate?
Reply in thread
I relate to this so hard. If somebody asks me to tell them something about when I went to school there is literally nothing there. If someone tells me about something that happened when I was at school I immediately remember the whole thing plus a bunch of related stuff
