America is a car country. For decades, millions of families relied on inexpensive cars to get from home to work and school. Now, a growing number of americans can't afford one.

American downtowns used to be sweet.

Most big cities had extensive electric trolleys you could hop on and off of for free. Walkable cities with decent public transportation that didn't pollute the air!

And we replaced that so we could have a bunch of shitty cars burning leaded gasoline for decades....

Really explains the boomers and silent generation.... And hell, Gen X probably grew up with some that sweet leaded gas fumes, and lead paint. And there's still extensive lead pipes serving water.

You don't know what you're talking about. The air valve is separate from the tire. It attaches to the rim. There's no inner tube.

A new tire is 50-200 bucks. 50 probably being a used POS.

That valve? Many tire shops will replace for free, or very cheap (a few dollars max.)

Side wall damage? You're gonna need a new (or used, not recommended) tire.

Also. Go for a small, sharp smooth blade. There's a good chance it'll just slow leak and they'll make it to McDonald's or whatever and then run flat. XD

Goodbye to the bear as a hunter: a new study reveals that more and more populations are shifting toward a plant-based diet

Odd title.

The study observed associations between abundant availability of plant edibles and bears eating them. This was associated with eating less meat.

And the opposite was found to be associated. Lack of vegetation lead to increase hunting, actually measured as consumption via feces.

Bears being omnivores, this isn't surprising. Bears being lazy, will choose prioritize desirable plants (or sometimes honey, or likely increasing amounts of garbage, and road kill) over hunting.

The title seems to be a stretch and a prediction unsupported by the evidence.

Some disgusting things are quite legal. And have real victims.

I'm not sure why you would focus on illegalizing something disgusting that's victimless.

edit: Your reply is my first sentence but with unnecessary verbosity. My first sentence is not an argument it's a statement of fact. My second sentence is supporting that initial fact with another fact.

I express why I'm not sure why you'd focus on the (il)legalization and then you reply into exactly that and don't seem to care anything at all about the victims.

Sad.
