Thinking about getting a donkey

No, I don't think it's a good idea to get a donkey if you plan on leaving it alone for days on end. For one, you should check up on animals daily just to make sure they don't have injuries, tipped over their waterbucket, broke the fence etc. Also, donkeys get lonely without other animals around.

I am afraid I can't replace my car anymore

As long as the car is safe, somewhat fuel efficient, and maintenance doesn't cost you an arm and leg, it's a smart decision to keep driving that old car. Nothing depreciates in value quite as quickly as new cars. Don't worry too much about your friends' comments. Cars are a status symbol, and people who don't follow the mainstream consumerism of buying a fancy new model open themselves up to some remarks. But it doesn't matter as long as you are happy with it.

I'm tired of the inequality

Maybe not necessarily the dairy cow herself, but she needs to be pregnant about once per year so she doesn't stop producing milk. That means that the calves inevitably need to be slaughtered (as well as older dairy cows) or else the herd would keep growing year after year.

Nah, you don't necessarily need lab grown or fake meat to have a healthy delicious varied vegan diet. Legumes like chickpeas, different kinds of beans and lentils as well as soy products can provide enough protein and variety if you put some effort into your cooking. You do need B12 supplements on a vegan diet though, as well as some specific nuts and seeds to cover omega 3. So those can be a problem if there's not a lot of variety in the stores near you and you can't order it online for whatever reason.

How many hours a day do you actually work?

Ugh this thread makes me upset. I have a contract for 18 hrs per week and you bet your ass I'm really working 99% of the time that I'm clocked in. And then people ask me why I don't work more hours, but looking at these comments it seems I'm actually right on par with other people who get paid for 30-40 hours per week, when it comes to productive time spent.
